Overall good experience with the rental location (Albany NY International Airport); however, the rental car at pickup had a low tire light indicator. It was cold, so thought it may go off. Next day, tire was very low. Returned to airport and counter staff was somewhat rude when indicated that we needed a replacement vehicle. This was a business rental and she said she may have trouble finding another compact car. This was not our problem since we had been rented a defective vehicle. Strongly suggest that the team check vehicles more thoroughly before rental.

They didn't have the car that I requested. The car they gave me had a broken visor and low air in it't tires. They wanted to charge me significantly more to return the car 2.5hrs later but when I returned it almost 24hrs earlier they would not offer a credit of any kind. I'll pass next time.

I rented a large SUV from the Albany airport location. It was the worst rental experience ever. The first problem was the lack of signage and communication about the member line. Since I waited in the non-member line it took over an hour to get my keys. The wait time is unacceptable since I had a reservation and most people, if not all, had reservations as well. The transaction should be quick, but wasn’t. The next issue, was the cleanliness of the car. It wasn’t cleaned very well from the previous rental. After this experience, I will think twice before renting from Budget.

Horrible in Albany NY Airport. Forced to wait in 2 lines to get a car. First line was for 35 minutes. Then went to the garage and had to wait in another line for 20 minutes just to get the car key! Waited on by non caring robotic like staff. Trained monkeys would be more pleasant. Also tried to call the Albany Budget phone number 6 times over the course of 3 days. No one ever answered! Pathetic! Stay away and use someone else.

We were a prepaid rental and are Fast Break members. I got in the Fast Break line and it wasn't long before I realized there were two reps taking care of the other line and only one on Fast Break. Then, the one taking care of Fast break just walked away. As everyone in the line started murmuring, one of the remaining agents thought it acceptable to yell "IT'S NOT MY FAULT HE HAD TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!" He returned 15 minutes later, but it was an hour wait to get my (dirty) car. The return process was much easier and that agent was friendly and helpful, or it would have been a one star review. Definitely not what I have become used to as a regular Budget customer.

We rented a car and after arriving at the airport baggage claim we find we will be in line for 90-120 minutes. It has been 15 minutes and we have not moved in a 30 person line. Suggestion would be to try another company that knows how to staff a line. If they knew that they had this many renters why not get another person or two to move things along?For the record this wasn't my choice to rent here but I'm paying the price for a friend's decision

I thought I had time-traveled back to the stone age at the Budget rental in Albany Airport. It took over 45 agonizing minutes to get through the line, and I swear I saw a sloth pass by me with a rental agreement. Meanwhile, Avis, Hertz, and Dollar had already rented out half their fleet. It's like Budget purposely hired the world's slowest to run their counter!If you're in a hurry, avoid Budget like it's a time vortex. Go for Avis, Hertz, or Dollar, and you'll have your car keys. Look at the photo for comparison of the lines (mind you Avis also had a lot of people, in fact they serviced about 3x the amount of people in the same time we got through the budget line)Edit: 60+ minutes have passed, I’m one away from the counter… honestly this man needs to be replaced or they need to add another person. Doesn’t Avis own Budget? Why aren’t they helping move the Budget line along.

We picked up our rental car only to notice the gas gauge was almost at empty. Once we got to the gas station where it was well lit, the interior of the car had not been cleaned. There were food scraps and other trash left behind by the previous renter. When I returned the car after our trip I was told it was customary that Budget doesn’t typically fill their cars with gas. The employee said, “If it’s empty, bring it back empty.” I pointed it out that the rental paperwork listed the car had a full tank. I would have been charge out of my ears if I didn’t gas up. I kept a receipt and after her and I going back and forth on this she eventually gave me a refund for the gas.Lesson learned, always check the gas gauge before leaving the car rental parking lot. We could have been stranded somewhere in the middle of the night, a major safety issue!

Albany, NY Budget Car Rental was easy breezy. Our representative was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. The paperwork was fast and finding the car was exactly per her instructions. I couldn't be happier and will always check out Budget in the future.

Staff was very busy at reception and hard to hear, but gave us a Mitsubishi Outlander instead of a full-size. Huge, but easy and fun to drive. Drop lady was very helpful and friendly. Good service there.

The rudest woman was working at this location. Blonde hair older woman with glasses. She was awful and obviously enjoyed her bizarre behavior. Other people we didnt know were quick to comment how bad she was treating us. We went to another location and rented from enterprise without a problem. Yet we had to pay 450 dollars to take a taxi to our destination before we could rent the car.

When I picked up the car, it nearly had a flat tire and the car was brand new. The gaelia new car which was fine. When I brought it back two weeks later I filled the gas tank to full. But then I was charged for a full tank of gas and told. I would be refunded in 3 to 5 days still waiting...

Very disappointed! The staff at the Albany Airport is awful. Provided you can find one. The staff over the phone is no better. I asked for GPS both during the phone reservation, and at the desk. I was traveling completely unknown territory. NO GPS, so I drove through the mountains with my phone on my leg, hoping I would find my destination, and arrive safely!! Very poor customer concern, and very poor customer service!! Boooooooooooooo!!!
