“Today I pulled into this strip mall to visit the Habitat for Humanity Restore. But when I saw BOT, Bring On the Spectrum, I was intrigued. Being from out of town (very far out of town) I was not sure how I would be greeted with my impromptu visit. But I was immediately welcomed by Lisa, the founder, who took time to show me around the facility and make me feel at home. It’s quite a place! There are interactive options for all ages and quiet spaces also.
Toward the end of my visit, Marisa helped answer my questions. (I wish my queries had better prepared, but I didn’t know I would be running across this gem today)
All in all, seeing BOT gives me hope we also might be able to start a welcoming, nuturing and safe environment such as this in our little village in Italy.”

“This kication is well placed for the services it offers. Clean, well lit parking lot. I found the course work current, the trainers are professional and well trained. More of the syllabus has mixed online, however their estimated time to complete the online portion was sorely underestimated. Give yourself a gew hours more than what they say it should take to complete the online part.”
“We go to the Albany,New York office. I love this place and staff. My severely developmentally disabled son went through a horrific situation. He was left unhoused. Paul Andrew Hackett, the housing specialist like always jumped in this with us. My son Boo is a little boy in a man’s body. As of yesterday he’s no longer unhoused. He’s nonverbal and he struggled to verbalize that he has a home with his bedroom. This means everything to us. I want to yell thank you from the bottom of my heart ? ???????????”
“I am deeply grateful to Grassroot Givers for the incredible support and kindness shown to me and others in need. I recently arrived from Afghanistan, and after spending over two years facing many challenges and hardships in various countries, it has meant so much to receive your generous help. Thank you for providing me with clothing and for the vital services you offer to the community.
I am still in need of kitchenware and a dishwasher, and I have tried calling several times, but the line was busy. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how I can request these items.
Once again, thank you to everyone at Grassroot Givers for your outstanding dedication and for the compassion of all your staff members. Your work makes a real difference in the lives of families like mine.”

“I wish you could choose the phlebotomist taking your blood. Gabe did an exceptional job. No bruse no pain and was quick, so I was not there all day. Under 20 min. As for the location at the church pine bush Methodist it was clean and plenty of space, also a good temperature.”

“I was in a situation that I was put in because of miscommunication with a caseworker I went to an advocate and they refer me to United Tenants of Albany within the 20 minutes that my advocate called and referred me I have received a phone call right away and the person that I spoke with was very professional , compassionate listen to everything that was going on, and the situation was taken care of within less than 3 days This put so much ease it released a lot of the anxiety and stress that I was going through knowing that I wasn't going to be homeless. It matters when people that are in this position really helps especially the elderly that we get kicked to the side all the time So thank you United tenants keep up the good work.”

“Our recommend this place to anybody who’s in recovery is a good place and I learned a lot from here as long as you’re dear for your recovery. It will work for you if you’re not there for your recovery it will not work for you but this is a good place to go”
“I was a resident here, I was on Nazareth (Naz) my unit manager was Jim! I was placed in 2000, I left in 2003! I had a couple of bad situations there (typical teenage girl rebellion) but nothing compared to my street life prior to getting placed here! I worked in the kitchen, and in the office! I was able to get caught up with all of my schooling, I was taught a lot of different life skills there! If you're willing to put in the work this place can help you! Honestly, this place saved my life! If it wasn't for this place, I wouldn't be who I am today! I am truly thankful for St Anne Institute..”
“This place is a Godsend. Blessed to have this for families that have newborn babies that require extended care and live further away than normal. I’ll forever support RMHC”
