I have never written a negative review about anything. But, This was an awful hertz. We had online reservations for months. An suv with two car seats (booster and forward facing). When we got to the airport we had to wait in a line in the airport for about 40 minutes (my daughter was reading so I timed it) even though we had online reservations. Then when we walked out to get the car, they were out of forward facing seats and they had to call another hertz to have them bring them to us. It took 25 minutes. When it got to us, they had brought a rear facing seat (that can’t be switched around). Guy was very rude when I complained. They had to go back and get another one. We are currently waiting. So far we have been here an hour trying to get out. Will never give money to hertz again. If you have kids please do not use this hertz.

We felt like we got scammed because we didn’t buy the insurance package. We were given a car that broke down partway through our trip and the repair shop said it was a pre-existing condition on the car that was improperly fixed before. Roadside assistance was unhelpful and no one at hertz desks had a working phone number or was able to assist. Our vacation was cut short because of this rental car.

Long wait when we should have had a car immediately as gold members. Received lower quality car as the inventory was out.

The car itself was fine, as was the pick up process. But when our flight was delayed, we tried to extend our rental for an additional 4.5 hours and the website tried to charge us an additional $700 (the entire four-day rental was less than $300). We tried calling the local counter, but the calls kept disconnecting before we could speak to a real person.

Fast, easy, painless. Booked ahead on app, when our plane arrived, we got checked in and were on our way in time at all. Car was ready to go with no issues. Will rent from Hertz Car Rental - Albany again.

Picked equinoxes up at midnight. Gave me keys, said #28, over that way. They closed. Got vehicle. Inside windshield very dirty with heavy film. All controls set to Spanish(do not understand). cruise does not work nor most other controls. Wipers and lights did work. front end out of align. Breaks very grabby and uneven. I tried several times to get through to hertz with no luck. Checked with Chevy dealer by phone and told it needed to go to factory reset. I was very happy to return to hertz when finished (8days) without breaking down. Not likely to use hertz again with other choices available.

The rental process was easy and the vehicle was sufficient for our needs. I learned that I didn't care for the vehicle, but that is not hertz's fault. I just now know I would never buy a Jeep compass. Returning the vehicle during construction was a little unnerving. Though the return process was simple, the hertz employees had very little contact with me at drop off, so I had a hard time knowing what was going on or where to go. My final receipt was sent as a corrupted pdf file I couldn't open.

The worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. They couldn’t even spare a single employee at their rental location to fix their broken navigation system. They offered me a fully electric instead, like that would be a viable option for a trip….horrible customer service from every employee I interacted with

Would not even give them a one extending my rental time these people can't figure out when I extended it what time it's supposed to be back by they keep telling me it was supposed to be back on the 3rd I read it to today which is 6th they do not seem to know what they're doing be careful it won't let me post unless I give them a star so I have to give them a one star but I would prefer to give them a zero
