Lisa is the manager at the 40 N. Russell Road store in Albany New York. I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. She is there for me whenever I need her. I have had so many problems with U-Haul in the past that value space was such a breathe of fresh air. From customer support to closing my unit out. It was a breeze and allowed my items to go in a safe pace until the purchase of my house. I highly recommend this place to any and everyone.

Get’s the minimum requirements right but falls short on the rest especially with the new price increases.
The location is usually pretty clean and it’s climate controlled which are the positives.
Some of the office staff lack basic customer service skills. One example - I had to wait 10 minutes for the person in the office to finish a personal (not business related or even with a customer) conversation before opening the office door - during normal office business hours. Then acted as if I was inconveniencing them by being there.
They upped the rent on a generally normal schedule with generally reasonable increases. Recently, they have been raising the rent much more frequently and have used the blanket reason of “due to inflation”. This seems like opportunistic price gauging.
