“We picked up one of their Friday night dinner specials. We got sauerbraten, sauerkraut, spatzle and an apple tart for $20. It was served in a 3 compartment tray. We got ours to go, but people were in clubhouse eating there from the same trays.
We were also served a cucumber salad? Sliced cucumbers in soir cream sauce? The wife loved it, but, alas I hate cucumbers.
Food was delicious.
The bar was hopping!
The age seemed to be Cucumbers. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I hosted my daughter’s baby shower at The Den, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was flawless. Nicole, the owner, was incredibly easy to work with—responsive, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect.
The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy such a special celebration. The space was beautiful, the service was exceptional, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
I would highly recommend The Den for any special event and wouldn’t hesitate to host another celebration there.”
“I been to BeUnieke pop up shop and store front. Honestly it's hidden gem! They are LGBTQ+ friendly and create custom clothing. I stopped by and they showed me their new line, such a dope walk thru experience. I also picked up a pair of kicks before leaving. 1 of my favorite local shops where I can really get all in 1.”
“New York state's premiere Capital experience it has plenty of open spaces and if you love a modern art it has one of the biggest collections in the world. There is also the egg which was just renovated but has kept much of the original intent.
Great place in the summer for events.
Beautiful views of the Hudson and Albany from the top of Corning Tower.”
“my husband and i are from here. we are married on 5/18, and each year pay homage to our favorite place and time by visiting a historical establishment in the area. we stayed at the argus motel last night and it was nothing short of an incredible experience. the grounds are beautiful, the staff are very personable and friendly, and our bed was super comfy. the room was so clean and we really enjoyed the butler kitchen breakfast. thank you for everything!”
“Got married back in October 2025 and we chose The State Room. The team made everything so smooth for us. Our guests kept raving about how it was the best wedding and the food was amazing. With all the moving parts of a wedding, they made it so easy to really see how it would come together. Tom really does take care of you and make sure everything goes exactly how you picture it.”
“I visited for the first time last Friday and everyone was really friendly. The staff helped me pick my first Magic the Gathering decks and I got a Fallout themed card holder that I was THRILLED about.
The person working the cafe was really nice and brought the food I ordered to me.
There were several groups playing different this and everyone looked like they were having fun. I played Magic for the first time.
There is a tabletop game library so vast that the shelves of them covered an entire wall, floor almost to ceiling. And it is very spacious with many many tables and chairs.
This place was pretty cool. I will return.”
“I went to the Woman's Club of Albany for the first time a few weeks ago to attend a chamber music concert. The entrance was a bit intimidating. There's very little signage pointing to the front door. The steps take a couple of turns. There were very sturdy hand rails.
Once inside it was clear that the place had once been a very special mansion in the 19th century. Today it is showing its age, though the woodwork and mirrors and light fixtures are still impressive. Downstairs is a series of interconnected rooms, several of which required a step up or down. There is separate coat room.
Access to the upstairs ballroom was by an impressive staircase with a landing in the middle. The ballroom took up most of the second floor. It had room for the musicians on one end and about 20 tables seating 4 for lunch on the other end. The acoustics were excellent. The food had to be brought up the stairs from the kitchen in the back of the first floor.
Parking is on the street (Madison or Lake). Stairs cannot be avoided. I did not use either of the bathrooms.”
“It has been a great experience living at Cornerstone location, wonderful gym facility, best food stores around like Whole Foods, Trader's Joes ect. ... Management and the staff has been very helpful when needed and property is very well kept at all times, would definitively recommend the place.Kathy and Melodie are the best.”

“The hotel is well cared for and the staff works hard to make it a great experience. Kelly and the dining room team put out an impressive breakfast every morning and a weekday happy hour consisting of restaurant quality food and complimentary adult beverages. A lot of value at this hotel. We will come back!”
“We shot a wedding at Sixty State Place and were totally blown away. Every part of the space added something special to the story we were capturing. The architecture is truly a stand-out! If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s classy, timeless, and right in the heart of the city, this place is a gem.

“I enjoyed staying here. The hotel is clean and accommodating. The food was good. The staff were all very friendly, professional, polite, and attentive. We utilized the super convenient and free shuttle service. I very much recommend using thr shuttle service.
There seemed to be a high level of attention to detail ingrained in their work culture. I think the excellent service is what made my experience so great. I very much appreciated the protien smoothies on the breakfast menu from Mr. D's. I wish more hotels offered them. The bar is very updated, with highly attentive bartenders. The atmosphere is very quaint, which makes the vibe unique and fun. I loved the koi pond, the inside courtyards, fountains, and live plants throughout the facility. The hotel is close to the train station, Albany Airport, and the capital building.”
