“I started meditation with Cindy in mid June 2025. I was experiencing mental lapses and the my doctor recommended about 8 week's meditation. Fortunately there was a Long Island Meditation just across street from my office and gave it a shot. I was 85 years old so felt reluctant to start the new one but it was necessary if I want to recover full use of my brain which has been injured by use of medical pills. The method was simple to clear my clogged mind. After 8 weeks, I was advised by the doctor that my brain had cleared significantly and I realized that I much more to learn about my brain. I decided to continue introduction with the hope that I could complete this program with the goal of being a truth. I am surprised that my entire being is in the process of changing for the better. As result, I am enthusiastic about developing brain that is clear of so many useless thoughts.

“We truly love St. Mark’s Cooperative Nursery School and feel so grateful to have found this hidden gem! Mrs. Testa and Miss Megan are incredible—loving, caring, kind, patient, and deeply attentive, fostering an environment where each child feels seen and valued. Special Days are an opportunity for parents and caregivers to be a part of the magic in the classroom, creating a strong sense of connection and trust. The enrichment program and extended day opportunities are a huge plus, offering engaging activities that genuinely enhance the children’s experience. St. Mark’s also offers spacious indoor and outdoor playgrounds so they can stay active and explore year-round. Weekly music classes with Miss Krysta are another highlight! Most importantly, the focus on social-emotional development has helped my son build confidence, kindness, and independence, while preparing him for the demands of kindergarten. We couldn’t recommend St. Mark’s more highly.”
“In the summer of 2023, I was leaving Fairway Supermarket (now called Food Bazaar) in Douglaston when a woman outside the supermarket was handing out flyers. I took a flyer which read Bayside Meditation and placed it in my bag of groceries not realizing that flyer would change my life. Fast forward into the Fall of 2023, during a stressful time in my life, I decided to visit Bayside Meditation. I had such a wonderful experience during my first session. The meditation sessions are facilitated by Anna and Sunhae, two beautiful, empathetic and loving women. Sessions can be done individually or with groups. The sessions are welcoming, calming, and thoughtfully guided, creating a safe space for both beginners and those with more meditation experience. Both Anna and Sunhae lead with clarity, compassion, and intention, making it easy to stay present and engaged throughout the practice.
I have participated in both group sessions and individual sessions. I personally appreciate the individual sessions which give me the opportunity to slow down and reconnect with myself in a meaningful way. Each session leaves me feeling more grounded, centered, and refreshed. There are many members at Bayside Meditation. From time to time, both Anna and Sunhae organize field trips for meditation sessions, ie Jones Beach, Cunningham Park and Crocheron Park to list a few. This meditation group has become a valuable part of my self-care routine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to reduce stress, improve mindfulness or deepen their meditation practice. They give you a sense of community. I am now a part of this beautiful community!”
“Just tried out the shop recently wounderful selection ? definitely something for everyone.
Staff seemed very friendly. I wish all items were priced. I truly would have considered purchasing more without having to find someone and figure out the price of each iten I was interested in. I understand it can be very time consuming to price out each item when there is a lot. I did overhear other customers saying I wonder how much this cost ?”
“This place has improved since new management. Vincent the current manager of Mary Brennan INN is very responsive and courteous. He takes care of your needs on the spot. Place is more organized and less unwanted customers. The new card system lets the INN know of food and statistical wastage. Thanks to Jean for promoting Vincent. Both work Great together. Food quality has got better as the new management placements are good.”

“My whole family including myself love this place! It was our first time and we are so amazed at all the details! There are also some interactive ones where you can move objects with a press of a button! And not to mention the folks who are there - they are all so kind, sweet and wonderful! We got there right when they opened and it was pretty crowded already but you are allowed to stay as long as you want. Once we left, there was a line formed outside. So it can get busy! And just FYI, there is a restroom/bathroom there.”

“My children enrolled, because it was the only place that I was able to find that offered basketball for school aged children during the dondumbic. Coach Jackson is excellent! For the summer they also offer instructional classes 6 days a week (different sports), that my sons can join in on, and they fall under the umbrella of the nominal monthly fee that's already paid for. The facilities are clean, well kept, the people who work there have good attitudes, and my boys look forward to coming as often as possible!!”

As a natural nurturer he knows just how to lean in with the right amount of TLC. The outpour of phone calls, text messages and meals not only fed my family as I underwent surgery it ushered in a sense of peace which allowed me to heal. “Had a 70th birthday surprise party here and it was perfect! We booked this location for the inside/outside combo and it did not disappoint. We paid to have use of the outdoor area/bar (TV included for Sunday Football!) and had a band play. The tents outside were big enough to hold guests under during a brief rain and the grass area was amazing for the kids to run around and play. Linda was very easy to communicate with and our guests are still talking about how great it was.”

“The New Dawn Foundation is a phenomenal organization that provided our spiritual group a space to host a retreat on Kabbalah. We rented the venue for just the weekend, and the volunteers (particularly Nnacy) who run this organization were very prompt to reply to any and all questions I had about the space leading up to our event. We comfortably hosted 14 people in the space, although this worked well because we knew each other going in and had a few couples sharing beds.Thank you New Dawn for all the work you all do in order to create affordable opportunities for young adults like us to engage in spiritual retreats! At the end of our time together participants went around in a Circle and shared gratitude, and so many people included the venue as something they were grateful to experience over the weekend.Can't recommend this venue enough. I'm attaching a sketch that one of our retreat participants drew of the stunning sunrise.”
