Their sandwiches have the most meat from any store from Hempstead to Freeport including any town in between! I purchased a grill chicken salad & when I was told $9 I thought out was a little steep. However, as soon as I felt the weight on my tray I knew it was more than worth it! I couldn't even eat it am at once! La Nueva Espinal Grocery is my go to spot! “I stop almost every week day morning before work. The 3 gentlemen in there are all so friendly. This store is so clean and run very efficiently. They even saved some boxes for me for moving! And helped me to my car with them (in the rain). This is my favorite 7-11. They also always have my silk vanilla almond creamer, which not every 7-11 does.”

“This past Fri., I went to get some staples for a Memorial Day bbq. Lots of choices of various cuts of meats as well as different kabobs. All of the food looked fresh, and delicious. The store was clean and empty at 11:30am so you were able to get a full view of all of their offerings. Grilled our items and they all were delicious. They were tender and seasoned perfectly. However, the guy that helped us looked beyond miserable. We had a small quick order so maybe a smile, thank you or an appreciation for our business would have been nice. 5 stars for the food, and a generous 3 for the customer service.”

“The Village Convenience Deli is the best little grocery store in the area. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful. During the LOCKDOWN I only thought to go to the 7-11 north of my apartment building. I totally forgot about THIS deli also about 3 blocks away. I could kick myself. This store has many varied and brand-named items not like 7-11. 7-11 has the worse bread and English muffins not brand names like Arnold or Pepperidge Farm or Thomas. Village Deli also has many things I needed during the lockdown like spices , vanilla, chicken broth that I had to do without. Their prices are also much better than 7-11 akin to grocery store prices. It is also next to a pizza place and a Mexican take out and dine -in place that looks very promising so now I can stop and get a snack too.”

“First let me start off by saying this gas station is the cleanest gas station I've seen in a really long time. Every time I go in the bathroom here it is always spotless it's like the bathroom in your own house. The staff is always nice and when you pull up to full service they always wash your windows. Some gas stations on Long Island have really nasty looking pumps with dirt and grime from the gas. Merrick Citgo's pumps are always clean even the nozzles that catch most of the grime and dirt. It's nice to see when you pump your gas that you don't have to touch really nasty pumps. I totally recommend this gas station to anyone because you are treated like a customer should be treated.”
