I'm new with trustco and only have an account here for my girlscout troop and I already hate it!!! I got my bank card in the mail today, I called to activate it and for some reason they have 1 phone number for the account even though it's a joint account with 3 people and we all gave them our own separate contact info. So they send the verification code to a phone that's not mine. I call the other troop leader to get the code then call trustco back to activate, BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY SAID TO DO. now they're telling me they can't activate my card because of 2 failed attempts in the lat 7 days even though I just got the card in the mail today and only cslled once?????? So I have to go down to trustco and do God knows what to get this figured out. DONT BANK HERE!!!!!!!!!! And the manager I spoke with that told me to go to the bank and deal with it her name is Ane. She refused to give a last name or employee ID #. Completely unprofessional, I've never dealt with anything like that at a bank. Honestly I probably won't even go back to trustco and deal with it at this point. We already were there in person all 3 of us about a week and a half ago!

Relatively decent in general but the tellers look like they'd rather be somewhere else. Today's teller at drive-through didn't once smile or treat me like the long-term customer I am despite my friendliness toward him. I have watched managers stand around when only one teller is behind the desk and the line of customers is long. Pretty pathetic customer service.

This bank isn't for everyone. There's a reason you're in and out because they lack customers.The bank adds fees on top of fees for overdrafts and will under no circumstances reverse the fees, if its human error. You'll lose money banking here! They offer no help even if you"ve been a customer for 20+'years, no matter if you're disabled, a retiree, or have any other problems. Bank elsewhere....

Love coming in to a friendly staff. No crowds in line. Check in and out quickly. Mortgage rates are the best. Have had two mortgages with Trustco in last 10 years. Very smooth transition. Home Town Bank for sure!!

Will definitely be cancelling my account. Didntnrealize that when I got the account that i would get an overdraft fee if something tried to take money from it that wasn't in there. They deny whatever payment and even though the money didn't actually come out of your account they still hit you with an insufficient funds charge.
