“I recently came by and was both impressed by and appreciated Craig's knowledge. They have an excellent seasonal selection and I left with plenty of gardening tips. This will certainly be a place I return to for future purchases. I feel compelled to say I have no idea why "Mr S." above felt the need to write such a negative comment. Seeing as most of their comments are 1-2 stars and in another State, I would recommend others not take much stock in their review.”

“If you go to the windows/millwork department - Markell was a phenomenal help to us. Rare to find these days. He was extremely knowledgeable, articulate, patient and detailed...next level service!!”

“My husband calls this the Home Depot that time forgot. Old fashioned service at its best. Every time we go it's clean, employees approach us to help us, people are friendly, and they have what we need. Today I did a return that was entirely hassle-free. The last time my husband and I went an employee spent 15 minutes with us helping us find the right-sized screw for a project. The time before an employee walked me to my destination because he wasn't 100% sure where something was and he wanted to make sure I found it. @HomeDepot corporate, if you ever read your Yelp reviews I hope you see this and give all your Hawthorne employees a raise and the managers a bonus. @Hawthorne Home Depot manager, leaving you a message with your manager on duty now...”

“We get our Christmas tree from here every year. It seems to stay fresh a while and we like that they are hanging so you can get a good look. All year they have very good & interesting jarred salsas and sauces and amazing produce. Also probably have the best selection of house plants and potting materials in the area.”

“I don’t know WHAT people are talking about, this place has been my mom and I’s go to birthday splurge every year since 2020! I’d go and blow my paycheck all the time if I didn’t live in Brooklyn!I’ve not had an unsuccessful orchid from here. Ever. They always are healthy, stay alive, and my oldest Sharry Baby I bought has 4 stems growing right now. If an orchid has been unsuccessful at reblooming— it’s 100% been because the growing conditions in my home were subpar. I LOVE talking shop about orchids with the owner’s son— he knows EVERYTHING about these plants and has never steered us wrong. From latin names, to culture sheets, to the ORIGINS of a hybrid— he knows it all.For NURSERY grown GRADE A orchids, of course it will be more expensive than a grocery store, but less expensive than your standard nursery (I’m talking those places that charge you $60 for a white moth orchid). I’m shocked that people would be so picky about these plants, especially when this is one of the few places in the area that supplies some rare gems for FAIR pricing. I recommend to everyone I know.”

“Generally speaking, love these folks. Kind, courteous, extensive inventory, knowledgeable service. Occasionally, though, some of the office staff can be prickly.”

“Easily the coolest greenhouse, florist, and garden shop I’ve experienced, with highly knowledgeable, friendly staff who go above and beyond. I was pleasantly surprised by their abundant late winter houseplant and pot selection, and David was phenomenal. Will certainly return in the spring for more!”

“Carlson's is a wonderful place for plants & flowers, a true hidden gem. Sue is great (as well as Claudia & George). The gift shop inside is beautifully decorated too, with unique & hard to find gifts for every season/occasion. --Margie Cvelic, Valhalla NY”

“I could not be more pleased with the service I received! After a bad fall, I found myself in the hospital and missing Christmas with my 90-year-old mother. I called Four Seasons and ordered an arrangement sight unseen.Wow! Just Wow! Thank you, Four Seasons, for listening and providing such a beautiful, thoughtful arrangement. Your shop will be my go-to from now on.”

“The Bedford Hills Nursery is located opposite the Saw Mill River Parkway on Route 117. I walk this beautiful path several times a day, often passing this nursery. They offer a nice selection of flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees. Everything I purchased and planted is alive and flourishing in my yard, and I look forward to seeing next spring. The staff here are welcoming and helpful. If you need a plant as a gift when visiting others, you can stop in and select something pretty. Right now, pumpkin vines have emerged over the fence. I keep hoping one of the flowers produces a pumpkin welcoming the harvest season.”

“Excellent customer service. Ordered a bouquet for a friend at Westchester Medical Center. They delivered it that afternoon but due to hospital restrictions they could only deliver it to the nurses' station on the floor. Due to some mix-up the flowers never made it to my friend. When I called Lakeview Florist they were very apologetic and made sure to send a replacement bouquet to my friends home right away.”

“Flowers were beautiful. We ordered online from across the country and I included a message on the sympathy card, but forgot to "sign" it. They called me 2 minutes after I placed the order to ask me what names should be on the card. And the flowers were delivered like an hour later! Fantastic customer service.”

“Since the reviews here are from a few years ago we weren't sure it was open, but we went yesterday and indeed it is. We spent a good long time talking with the owner. It's such a unique place. There are some unusual plants and trees, plus the more conventional stock. Since it's the end of the season, plus we've had a drought, it could look a little bedraggled to anyone looking for polished rows of plants, but to a veteran gardener it's clear what's there. Plus the owner was generous in his advice about what to plant now. He also has a passionate interest in wellness and is eager to share his knowledge about mushrooms in particular. He doesn't sell mushrooms, but it is an interest. We will definitely be going back. He does landscape design, but this is also a retail nursery.”

“I just bought a beautiful 8' Frazier Fir. The tree is very full and sheared well. The limbs are strong which is essential as I put real lighted candles on the tree. There was only a few needles that shed during the set up process. The Poinsettia's plants were very full and healthy. I come here throughout the growing season and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always helpful. This is the perfect small nursery (vs. Big Box stores) to support!”

“I was searching for local florists near my sister in Greenwich and came across this place. It was her birthday, and being in Florida I was looking for a florist that had an online shop where I could place my order. From the five places I looked at, Floral Fashions had the nicest selection and reasonable prices. I was able to purchase a beautiful bouquet for $75, which, plus a balloon and delivery, came out to $99. I think for the results, location, and convenience it was a great deal. Thank you!”

“I've been a customer for years. The landscape guy is great and the workers who do the tree or shrub planting do an excellent job. They have a large selection of perennials and annuals. Their prices are a bit high and some of the people who work in the shop can be a bit unpleasant.”

“In case you were wondering where all the landscapers go to get their plants and supplies, this is the place. Great quality selection of flowers, shrubs, trees and vegetables that are ready to plant and everything else that you need for your garden.”

“They have a very good raised garden bed soil fror vegetables. 2 years ago i purchased 15 yards . I got lots of vegetables. I highly recommend it. Last year i got it for half the price from stamford and it was a disaster. Felt it was toxic. So i again i jusr purchased another 10 yards. It is worth 85$ per yard.”

“I can only speak for the Garden center at this Home Depot. But I always enjoy coming, even when it's a bit of a madhouse. Lots of interesting plants and possible to get great deals. I find the staff are really chill, helpful, and nice. The experience with the staff honestly really keeps me coming back rather than seeking out other places.”

“The employees are very helpful and friendly. A young man helped me find the item I've been looking for 4 days at 7 different places. I recommend the PORTCHESTER Home Depot.”

“Thank you Imani! Customer Service here was very friendly and helpful, I felt like I was actually talking to a human being. Imani is incredibly patient and kind. She's great at her job and was very helpful when I had an issue with a Garden item. Usually when I go to Home Depot I'm used to the cold shoulder and lack of knowledge but this one was much nicer than other Home Depots in the area thanks to helpful and kind staff.”
