U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer
336 Meacham Ave, Elmont NY 11003
“Do not try to reserve online as it seems it means nothing and it's not related to inventory at each site. Call and reserve it so they can confirm they have the vehicle. I reserved online for another location and no one called me, I called in and they told me they don't even carry that model. Also note that they only take cash for rentals which is especially odd as they use cards for holds. Aside from that, you basically get what you pay for. As others have mentioned the vans are not well maintained. Although I didn't have a problem mechanically, the radio didn't work and the interior was rougher than a Uhaul. It shifted kind of rough and you could tell the shocks were probably at the end of their life. But for what you pay, it's not a bad experience. I rented a Micro Mover and it was exactly what I needed and I saved gas as opposed to the larger vans that you'd rent from Uhaul or Home Depot.”
