Sorriso is a very authentic Italian spot and salumeria, described as a sweet little Italian deli and market. It has quickly become a favorite place to eat in the area, considered one of the best little Italian markets in the city and a top-notch deli with the best variety and quality in Astoria. The business offers lots of homemade pasta, sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese, and ravioli, which receives particular praise. Their sandwich variety and quality is amazing, including items like Philly cheese steak rolls, though the sandwiches are a bit pricey and more expensive than some are used to. Portion sizes are large. Other highlighted foods include potato croquets, prosciutto balls, prosciutto bread, fennel Italian sausages, gnocchi, and a delicious house vodka sauce. The servers and staff are super cool, genuine, and make excellent recommendations, often offering a free sample of whatever they’ve just made, contributing to a proper New York vibe. The experience leaves customers super satisfied and planning to return again and again. It is a cash-only establishment.
Had our Christmas party catered by Sorriso Salumeria. Every dish was deliciously prepared. The owner called later that evening to follow up if we were happy, which we were.

This place has the best tasting fresh Italian sausage (sweet and hot) I've ever had. I was helped by an older gentleman behand the counter. Very friendly and I was made to feel welcome. I'll never buy my Italian sausages any where else.
