Discover nine elegant guest rooms, a ca. 1883 tavern featuring craft cocktails and locally sourced cuisine and a river front bar and grill, all recently restored. Arrive by land or sea to enjoy our sleepy little town of Athens, NY which is directly across the river from the city of Hudson, a mere 15 minutes away by car. During July and August, a ferry is available Friday and Saturday nights. The Stewart House Hotel aims to be a luxurious yet comfortable respite from city life while offering a glimpse at the history and incredible natural beauty that have played such an important part in New York and indeed American history.
Such a delightful place to have a lovely dinner! We ate dinner there two times. Absolutely lovely ambience, service and food. My favorite restaurant of our trip!

We had the prime rib special which was cooked perfectly. The apple blueberry crisp with real whip cream was delicious. Great food at a great price!

Such a lovely place! Everything from the venue to the service to the food was very good. LOVE that it is on the water. Wish we could have enjoyed it, but we will be back to. Bar and restaurant both were nice and the live music was enjoyable and not too loud.
