I will never do business with M&T ever again. My entire experience with them has been an auto loan. They take DAYS to process payments (it doesn’t matter if you do it in store or online). On top of that, when my car was totaled, their customer service has been a mess to deal with. They refused to provide me with my gap insurance provider when asked and insisted that they were “handling it” themselves. Every time I called in, I got different information and it turns out that I was lied to by a customer service representative. I am not new to auto loans as I trade my vehicles in every 1-3 years and this was hands down the worst company I’ve dealt with in terms of an auto loan. I’m sorry I ever signed into an auto loan with them and I will never give them my business again as this was such a hassle and all of the misinformation given to me by various agents.
