This pharmacy is horrible! Have me waiting for meds for hours and told me they needed to repack some stuff which makes no sense.

The Bay Terrace / Bayside branch of Duane Reade / Walgreen's is the worst pharmacy - nay, worst business establishment entirely - that I've ever had to deal with. Unfortunately, being disabled myself, it is extremely close to my home, and so I've been using them for many years. Nevertheless, I think I may finally change. The pharmacy staff give the word apathy a whole new magnitude of meaning. Nobody there gives a damn about doing their job, they do as little as possible and do it poorly, at that. They let the phone ring and ring even though callers are customers as well; there's nothing different between a calling customer and one standing in front of the counter, except the caller they can simply ignore, and they do just that all the time. The workers don't know how to use their computer system properly, or sometimes at all. Often they will be out of stock but forget to order more, even right after you request. They fail to fill prescriptions even after you call them and ask them to; seriously I have to call them and tell them please do their, job and then they still don't have it when I go to pick it up.
Avoid this store if you can. The place should be burned down.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Zero stars if I could. If you call, they will not pick up. 50/50 on whether they accept and dispense your prescription in a timely manner.

I am a physician who tried to call an urgent prescription into the pharmacy on the prescriber's line. The phone rang non stop for 10 minutes with no answer. So I called back and left a VM for the script, and when the patient went to the pharmacy hours later, they claimed they did not have it. I then called back again, and had the same run around with the prescriber's line picking up. After 20 minutes, I finally spoke to a pharmacy member, who did indeed find the VM prescription from hours ago. I let her know what terrible service they have, especially when dealing with the health of patients. I would avoid this pharmacy at all costs.

So I found out the hard way that the pharmacy opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6. They close for lunch instead of leaving a cashier to dispense the prepared meds for sick people who need them. If they cared for their customers they would have better service at the pharmacy. Longer hours , at least.

This place is absolutely trash, worst pharmacy, worst customer service, would never go here. I am
Currently on hold going on 30 minutes been put on hold 9 times to ask them a simple question. I am really sick and they failed to notify me that my 3 prescription wasn’t being covered under insurance. Even if it wasn’t it’s my decision if I should buy it or not. Now I’m on day 3 of a 103 fever because of these idiots. Done with this place hope it goes out of business. What a joke

On hold with pharmacy for over an hour. Then the call gets “dropped” or routed into voicemail. It’s a pharmacy! How do you do that to people who need your help?!

George L provides outstanding service at the pharmacy. This week my doctor’s assistant forgot to call in a prescription and I was unable to get my antibiotics. He took the initiative to call the doctor’s office to resolve the problem. Unfortunately, the doctor’s office wasn’t responding to our requests. The pharmacy pulled down their gate because it was closing time and that’s when my doctor’s office sent the prescription. Even though they were closed, George made sure to get my prescription filled.
