“I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Dr. McGuire. She had the difficult job of helping me and my cat through diagnosis and decision on comfort care for aggressive cancer. Dr. McGuire explained everything so well and answered any questions I had. She tried everything she could to help my cat be comfortable before having the difficult discussion that it was time to let her go. We had multiple conversations regarding medication adjustments and next steps over the phone and I never felt pressured to come in if I did not need to just so I would be paying for the help and advice. The front desk was always helpful in connecting me with her when needed and when it seemed urgent they even went and got her immediately, since they knew she wouldn't be able to call me back until the afternoon. I always felt confident that my cat was getting the best care and could focus my energy on enjoying the time I had with her. I am very grateful I chose to bring my pet to Beacon Veterinary Associates and that I got to work with Dr. McGuire, as I know she received the best care possible from a vet that genuinely cared about supporting both myself and my pet.”

“Where to even begin. The minute we walked into the office, the girls at the front desk were so loving towards my pup. The patience everyone including the doctor had with my puppy was amazing! I was super nervous having him have his first set of vaccines and to hear from the girl who brought me back my puppy that he didn't even notice he receive the vaccines , just gave me sooo much reassurance that the doctor and everyone at this office have the hands of the vet gods haha. “Dr. Weiss, at Airport Veterinary, recently cared for my cat, Nicky. His concern for the creatures who visit his practice is wonderfull.

Nicky, a 4 year old cat, who had stopped drinking is renewed, well and again fully hydrated after Dr. Weiss evaluated his condition and provided me with advice.

I initially visited 2 other veterinary practices in Mid-Hudson Valley. Both were concerned with testing for many conditions, which Nicky did not experience. Neither of these Vets provided me with any reasonable advice to assist Nicky. I was dismayed by their so-called care.

Dr. Weiss is a true Veterinarian. He has a well-documented education at Cornell Veterinary School and is not a product of the Veterinary Schools located in the Caribbean.

“The West Point Vet Clinic is absolutely hands down the best ! Everyone is so professional and so lovely. They really care about you and your pets. We take all our sweet dogs there . We have seen another place off post and they were not professional and diagnosed our dog wrong and it cost us $$$”

“I'm new to the mid-Hudson Valley and just got a new dog, so needed to have the dog checked by a vet. I chose to go to Newburgh Vet Hospital based on a recommendation from my daughter.

The front office staff were friendly and professional. The wait time was a little long, but that is beyond the vet's control. When I did meet the vet, he took the time to thoroughly examine my doggie, to make humane suggestions as to how to go about getting her microchipped and spayed and tested and all that, and to answer my questions.

The follow-up to the visit was terrific. The dog tested positive for hookworms (an easily treated intestinal parasite). The initial call got left on my voicemail, and the vet said that they'd set the needed medicine aside and I could pick it up. When I called to ask them to prescribe it through the local pharmacy, they called me back to let me know that the pharmacy does not carry this particular drug. Okay; could they ship it to me? Absolutely!! Not a problem!! I expect to get the package in a couple of days.

All in all, I had a remarkably positive experience with Newburgh Veterinary Hospital and intend to keep going to them.”

“I switched to Wappingers animal hospital a few years back for all of my veterinary needs. The staff is Wonderful. They are very knowledgeable, kind, respectful and understanding. I have had to put down a few pets sense the switch and they go above and beyond. It is easy to get an appointment, the facility is clean even when ur pet has an accident on the floor on your way out while ur hands are full. They are so hopeful.”

“My biggest gripe with vets and doctors is I always feel rushed and like they aren't fully listening. I did not feel that way here at all. I went in for a visit with my dog, and the vet and vet tech answered all my questions thoroughly and were even asking me questions throughout the process. Highly recommend for your next vet visit.”

“We've been using Banfield for 17yrs. Not only is the cost reasonable, but the care our pets have received has been exceptional.

The staff is very friendly and greet us (and our pets) by name, after all, it's been 17yrs, but even my medical Doc, who I've been seeing for much longer, has to look at my chart first.

Here's an example of the type of care our pets have received.

We brought my 6yr old cat in because he started to pee out of the box, and was really onery. Within 5mins the Doc came rushing out and said that our cats urinary tract was blocked, and if he didn't have surgery ASAP he'd die in a day or two. He told us which hospital to take him to and said that he'd call right now to alert them of the situation so that they'd be ready when we came in. They were, and our cat went right into surgery. It's been 2 years since then and our cat's doing great.

I believe that if the Vet hadn't been so quick with his diagnosis, so adamant about taking our cat to a specific pet hospital NOW and hadn't alerted the hosp what was going on, our pet would certainly have died.
Our pets have received the same level of care and expertise every time we've brought one in.

I wouldn't bring my pets anywhere else.”

“So eternally grateful for the care my beloved pittie Dora received while at VCA Flannery of New Windsor. After my sweet little angel became very sick in the middle of the night, I rushed her to a local emergency clinic who did X-rays and then referred me here. The kindness, compassion, and gentle care my sweet girl received was second to none. The patience of the staff on the phones while I frantically and frequently called for updates during her hospitalization was so appreciated.

After the scariest 3 days of my life, my sweet girl is healing well from surgery & is home safe.
