On Monday, May 2, I received a text and business card photo in follow up to my email inquiry about the listing. I was first struck by the fact that she was a reverend, Rev. Shirley Brockman; and then I got emotional when I read her business motto, “Sheltering Those in Transition.” I felt there was nobody in more transition than me needing a new place while awaiting a closing date on my mom’s house before having to pay $350 per day after five days past closing.
