“In mid-September 2022, my spouse accompanied me to an event at a conference room in this hotel. The food provided was tasty, and the location next to the water provided a beautiful landscape.”
“Super clean, great location, and the best staff. The manager let us pick our room, gave us a key, and was very welcoming and kind. Wish I remembered her name...blond haired. Thank you!”
“Our visit was short, off-season! Otherwise, most probably I'd have given a 5 Star rating. Limited stock and variety available.
We would definitely stop again, during the Season.”
“The Burgers were delicious, the way they toast the bun for that little crisp..the best. The fried mushrooms were delicious also! The girls are really sweet, and we felt welcomed. Across from the waterfront. A little gem.”
“Everything was the absolute best. Nice employees, great prices for their buffet, and very easy to check in. On the restaurant side the food was the very best. The owner and manger, ? the very best. In all I really recommend this hotel/restaurant in all sides
Performance, quality, and service.”

“The “pop up” Southern buffet offered before the Bonnie Raitt concert was wonderful. Great song themes associated with southern-style offerings. We chose the 4:30 seating to allow ample time to enjoy our meal and wander a bit before the concert.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Spencer Hotel for valentines day weekend. I love the concept of the uniquely decorated rooms that each have their own individual charm. The family that runs the business is extremely welcoming and friendly. They serve delicious homemade breakfast every morning which was the perfect way to start the day. I highly recommend staying here.”
“Beautiful quaint, old-timey feel. It was built in 1880, and has been in continuous operation for all 142 years!Four floors, and since there's no air conditioning (only a box fan in each room) nor elevator, some prefer the rooms on the lower floors that are cooler during the summer and don't require a climb. While we were there, some folks were starting power yard work by like 8am, which, with the little sound absorption/dampening/insulation of the hotel, was loud and woke us up to unpleasant grinding (edging) or mowing noises. Some other people in the town while we were here were boisterous late at night and a boat out on the lake was blasting really loud music keeping lots of folks up. So if that would affect you, be Mindful and maybe request a room that doesn't face the water. While the place does have power/electric in each room, the receptacles were so old they were only hot/neutral (no ground), so nothing with a ground will go in unless you have a 3 to 2 adapter. Also, the age means the receptacles are very loose, and don't hold things in them very tightly. The wallpaper in each room and hallway is BEAUTIFUL, and the accent in the ground floor public restroom has a really neat story written all across it.The staff is super friendly, and walking around anywhere is amazing, seeing the history and quaint, rural western New York feel.Definitely an awesome place, and PERFECT for a family gathering. We used to come here in the 1990s when we were kids, and now 20 some years later we're all here with the next generation, and the dad who brought us.There was even a family wearing shirts that seemed as if this was their family reunion location for years. It's a really beautiful place and experience to share with anyone you know.”
