With the highly aggressive competition from private firms with huge corporate funds, we appreciate that a taxpayer funded government institution is subject to budget cuts, and often local Post Offices are not given the manpower they require to keep up with the demand on their staff. “The good news is they unlock the door a few minutes early. The bad news is they don’t open until 11AM! 11-7.
But they offer plenty of parking in front of the building, plenty of help on hand, and very pleasant workers. Also a do-it-yourself shipping service in the lobby. ♿”
“I came here 9/3/24 to apply for my first ever passport. the workers were helpful and attended to me quickly. I paid for regular routine service and received my passport in the mail 9/16/24 (less than 2 weeks non expedited!!) I then received my birth certificate in the mail 9/19/24. this was such an easy and quick process and I appreciate the workers at this post office who helped out!”
“I don’t know how the rest of the facility is, but my experience was With a wonderful lady named Vanessa if you’re looking to get your passport done ask for Vanessa she’s awesome. She will literally guide you step-by-step. Answer any questions and you have she won’t look at you funny or look at you like you’re stupid. She’ll actually be helpful and kind and compassionate about it I’ve been to a lot of government facilities whether it be the DMV again the USPS traffic court, ect. I always leave saying the worker was always mean or rude or was just not welcoming at all. Vanessa is the opposite”

She manually postmarked and then she also assisted me with additional postage to ensure that they would not go through machine and/or be returned or ruined. Nahed was very knowledgeable!”

“This post office is great . James was super helpful and took his time to help me with my questions and prices . Going to the post office can sometimes be an anxiety inducing process. But this location is very cozy and usually isn’t packed with a line . I’d recommend going to this location if you are in the area for your postal needs. Once again James who was working the front was totally chill.”

“Great location and service. It's a plus since the wait times are not long at all in this location since it's not as populated. If you're in a hurry to mail something out and you're in the area, I'd suggest checking this location out. They only allow one person inside the actual office at a time because of COVID and since it's on the smaller side.”
“This is an incredible building for a post office but I'm very concerned about the ceiling falling down the town really needs to come together and raise money for them to get it repaired for the history and for the countiue use of the building by the USPS”

An hour after I called, the missing package magically appeared. . .Thanks to their efforts. This is without a doubt a 5 Star Post Office!”
“I’ve only been to the Glen Head post office twice, but both times have been such a joy thanks to Kareena. She is cheerful, helpful, and has a wonderfully talkative attitude that truly brightens my day. She manages to take the “chore” out of running an errand and turns it into a genuinely pleasant experience.
I live several towns over, but from now on, I will make the trip to this specific post office simply because of Kareena. She’s such an asset—not just to the Glen Head post office, but to every customer she interacts with. Highly recommend coming here if you want excellent service with a smile!”

“I just want to give a huge shout out to both Rose and Brandon. Rose was the front clerk on duty when we visited, and Brandon was doing passport applications. Both workers were very polite, friendly, and courteous. My family and I were visiting for the weekend to reapply for my son's passport on 04/25. I originally had made an appointment with the Farmingdale location on Main Street, but ended up visiting the Lindenhurst location instead. The staff at the Farmingdale location who was doing the passports were unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. I've heard a lot of bad stories about this location, and I so happen to have witnessed it first hand.
Because we ended up not getting my son's passport done at the Farmingdale PO, I rushed to the Lindenhurst PO in hopes that they would be able to take us as a walk-in. Lucky to say Rose, who greeted me very pleasantly, was able to give us the last walk-in slip for the day.
Brandon assisted us, and we were able to get my son's passport application submitted. We requested the routine service, which typically takes 4-6 weeks, but we got my son's passport in a little under 3 weeks.
I also witnessed a customer coming in right before they close to get passport services, and instead of them him away, Rose jumped in and assisted the customer with their application since Brandon was still finishing up with us. I'm sure if this was the other post office in Farmingdale or Babylon, this customer would have been turned away in a heartbeat.
I certainly will be only visiting the Lindenhurst post office in the future whenever I am in the town. To Rose and Brandon, kudos to you guys! Continue to give your customers the A+ customer service and professionalism you guys showed us that day.”
“Most of the people at Farmingdale Post Office are Great people. Like every other job you always have a couple of people that are having a bad day !
I feel bad , your the only one there because other people are on break, lunch or call out sick.management Will not put anyone else at the windows and Will not jump in even with a long line !!!”
“The things supervisor 'Mike' has done for me deserve 10/10 stars.
My express package was lost, somewhere in transit. Within an hour of speaking with him, and him sending out emails and faxes, it immediately within 5 hours continued movement. ON TWO OCCASIONS. He then promised no matter what time it made it to the post office if before 6pm, he'd send a truck out to have it delivered to me.
