“Coach Dickie is a great coach and a solid, kind and generous human being. If you're in the Binghamton area and are looking to train in jiu jitsu, I would highly recommend giving his classes a try.”
“Dennis is amazing . He pays attention to every detail to give me the most personalized workout I’ve ever experienced . I have hired other trainers over the years and he is top notch . I’ve experienced back /neck / knee/ shoulder problems my entire life and this week I walked up the steps & sat down and stood up with zero knee pain my shoulder is getting better by the session ! My neck and back are feeling better and stronger as well ! He is worth every penny . As a hairdresser I have a very physically demanding job and to be able to continue to work at the pace I do . I need to stay strong ! The atmosphere is amazing as he takes one client per session and you have his private gym all to yourself ( anyone with anxiety , like myself will appreciate this more than you realize !)
Thank you Dennis ( ps I will be alternating between Dennis & Nancy as per my scheduling needs - very happy client here !)”
“This was my first visit to Planet Fitness. I’m into strength training, so while I was in the area for the weekend, getting a workout in was important to me—and they made that possible, though at a cost. The day pass is $20, which felt a bit steep considering their monthly membership is $29, especially since many gyms offer a free 7-day trial.
First impressions were positive: the Sunday morning staff was friendly, and the facility was clean and updated. Looking more closely, it did feel somewhat limited—mostly machines with fewer free weights. That said, there was no waiting for equipment, plenty of options, and lots of space. I’d estimate about half the gym is dedicated to cardio machines.
They provided a bar pad upon request, which was nice, though the water from the fountain was warm. Other gym-goers were respectful and wiped down equipment after use, which added to the overall cleanliness. The bathroom stood out—very modern and upscale for a gym.
One suggestion: earlier opening hours would be great. My regular gym opens at 4:30 AM on weekdays and 6 AM on weekends, which I prefer.
Overall, while commercial gyms aren’t usually my first choice, this location has a lot to offer at an affordable monthly rate. At the end of the day, any gym is a good investment in your health—worth checking out.”
