“Came here with my husband on Sunday and it was so nostalgic for us. It took me back to my childhood and I enjoyed walking all throughout the house. Dan was really nice and chills and made us feel comfortable.”
“My experience with The Antique Parlor was excellent. They were very responsive to my questions, shipping was fast, and the piece was just as described. I look forward to my next purchase!”

“The sign outside suggests this is either a Hare Krishna storefront or a first generation head shop. Don't be deceived. Inside is one of the hippest (and hippiest) stores in the Village.
True to their name, they have beads, lots of them, from plastic to semi-precious and in all price ranges. Ditto crystals, minerals, regional handicrafts from Mexico and India, beaded curtains, you name it.
They also have a few thousand holiday ornaments, with an emphasis on cultural icons past and present. Are there elves and Santas, sure. But you'll also find Taylor Swift ornaments, Wizard of Oz/Wicked ornaments. Puppies, cats, birds, Hindi gods, Tim Curry (as Dr. Frank-N-Furter), wica-themed things, Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royals, manga, the Golden Girls, tacos, Harry Styles, and hypodermic needles. Most are glass and in good taste; some of in decidedly bad taste (I wanted those most of all).
Because it's a little dusty in spots, it still gives a 1970's, "Whole Earth" vibe. Thankfully, the courteous staff (Candace helped me and she was a delight) brings a wholesome and helpful air to the place. I bought a Glinda the Good Witch and a Taylor Swift ornament but expect to go back for a Botox syringe.
If you've read my other reviews (i.e., More and More and John Derian) you know I'm huge a fan of great ornaments. This shop makes a worthy companion to those other two with very little overlap in the products they offer. I wish I'd stumbled in sooner.
Just for good measure, pick up a little Rose Quartz to help get your through the holidays (these are tough times, maybe a crystal will help).
Who is going to love it? Christmas freaks, jewelry people, yogis, fashionistas, drag queens, crafters, and the rest of the cool kids.”
“Incredible gem in East village. I came in to get advice on my meditation practice and the owner was very knowledgeable. He spent ample time with me providing deeper insight. They even have a meditation room. Can’t wait to visit.”
“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”
“Adam assisted me with some items, he was very professional and extremely knowledgable in his expertise. He has a very rare and skilled eye. I loved working with adam and felt very safe and informed. Highly recommend!”

“My experience buying an engagement ring with Kat from Erstwhile was incredible and the whole process was stress free from start to finish. From the initial meeting in the showroom, through to purchase and re-sizing she was super helpful and it was seamless. I looked around for vintage engagement rings but always kept coming back to Erstwhile. Is their jewelry more expensive than something modern? Probably, but their pieces are beautiful and unique and my partner is absolutely in love with her ring which is all that matters”
“A truly special place with cultural charm that is run by the kindest family. We traveled all the way from NC just to come to this place - it did not disappoint! Full of porcelain treasures that are very reasonably priced.”
“I recently sold a bunch of Sterling Silver to Steve Nelson and he was very prompt in his response and gave me a price on the spot. I shipped everything to him and within days received my check. I would recommend using Nelson & Nelson Antiques.”
“I went in here & felt foolish living nearby and never coming going in. Sonam, the owner was very nice and even showed me how to using the scrying bowl(look it up & see what it does) they have lots of clothes from Tibet & surrounding countries. Best of all, it was all low priced & affordable. Lots of sculptures from miniature to very large in shapes of animals,Buddha and even Julius Caesar & Lincoln! Incense & their holders, sage, jewelry, crystals. But there’s too many too list and my pics didn’t capture everything. So drop by if you can you won’t be disappointed.”

“This bookstore found me. And every since then it’s been calling me back. I walked in and was met with the smell of the alphabet and maps from every country in the world. I was allowed to peruse the first floor without being pressured and that felt good because walking in can be intimidating.Everyone there was helpful and I was directed to the second floor by means of a turn of the century elevator. Maps on this floor were organized smartly and you must ask for assistance before taking them off the shelf.I would encourage you to check out their website so you have an idea of what you are looking for before arriving. They also have volumes online that may not be in store at the current time but they have access to from their warehouse.”

“Our experience with Anthony at Estate Silver was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, his warmth, professionalism, and unparalleled knowledge of fine silver immediately stood out. The selection he curates is nothing short of extraordinary, every piece more stunning than the next. We have been collecting for many years and have visited countless dealers around the world, but Anthony’s expertise and eye for quality are in a class of their own.
He guided us effortlessly through the process, helping us choose exactly what we needed with honesty, patience, and a deep understanding of both design and craftsmanship. His pricing is incredibly fair, especially given the caliber of the pieces he offers, and the level of personal attention he provides is unmatched.
Simply put, Estate Silver is on an entirely different level and Anthony is the only person we will ever buy from again. His knowledge, taste, and integrity make every visit a pleasure. We cannot recommend him highly enough.”
“This review is in memory of my father Rick who passed away one week ago from today, Father's Day. Fountain Pen Hospital brought my father a lot of joy and he worked closely with the previous owners who were dear friends. I have many beautiful pens gifted to me from my father from here that I cherish.”
“Very nice store with interesting pieces. Staff was happy to answer questions and were honest about additional costs if was to have my new bench delivered. I would recommend this to anyone looking for solid older pieces of furniture or décor.”

“Evelyn Robinson is an exceptional representative of Windsor. I followed the protocol of delineating the articles of jewelry and attached photos. Within 48 hours I was given a calendar of appointment times. When I arrived, I was treated very well and commenced my appointment on time. An evaluation was conducted thoughtfully and an education was offered regarding some pieces. They provided me a written assessment and offer. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them highly”
“I echo the other reviewers: wonderful store with a unique selection of quality products coupled with personalized customer service. THIS is what NYC should be made of, instead of chase banks and weed shops on every corner. The prices are a bit higher, but it's nothing crazy, and let's please remember that you get what you pay for. And if you want nyc to retain some of its character on at least one little corner in this city, please -- pretty please -- stop over and purchase something from this lovely little shop.”

“There are many places online, in-person, and at auction to purchase fossils, minerals, and meteorites. But there are very few businesses where you can trust them to provide excellent selections at a fair price, outstanding customer service, and an all around good experience. “Wow wow wow!! Stunning hole in the wall boutique that makes me feel like I’m Alice in Wonderland. As a college student, I appreciated the forgiving price range! Walking home with a beautiful piece and I couldn’t be happier.”
“home to several antique letterpress machines that still work, bowne triples as a museum, a stationery store, and a custom letterpress printing site. pay a visit to explore something esoteric alone or with other enthusiasts. journal prices are lower than those at competing retailers in the city: the midori md a5 is $14 at bowne. staff is very knowledgable about their inventory, services, and the history of seaport/letterpress methods to boot. some of them are clearly artists themselves - so impressive.”
“What a delightful little shop! Perfectly curated, beautiful selection, impeccably organized.
The owner is a lovely woman who was so helpful. She's an expert on lucite handbags too and has a very cool book about them.
Pricing is pretty much perfect. I thought it would be a really expensive shop based on the quality and condition of the collection, but it was more than reasonable.”
“Lawrence was very kind and did a phenomenal job re-wiring my Art Deco chandelier. It was done very professionally and quickly too. I highly recommend him for antique lighting re-wiring / repair! This guy knows his stuff. Thanks again”
