“This store is such a charming place. Huge selection of singing bowls. The owner was so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that he asked what my budget was and then helped me to try to find the best bowl that fit within that. He explained what everything was worth, and also explained what things would be worth if they were in different conditions or had different dates/mint marks. His inventory is relatively small but he does have some interesting pieces, and I was easily able to find a coin I liked that was similar in value to what I was trading in.”

“What a beautiful shop, full of rich history and guided by people who move through the world with deep passion and love for their community. Even before stepping inside Wing On Wo & Co, it was a delight to see the mural across Mosco Street, “In the Future Our Asian Community is Safe” created by multiple generations of community members and project spearheaded by the W.O.W. Project. The building itself is crowned with custom terrazzo parapet tiles at the top, blended with broken pieces of porcelain as a tribute to its recent centennial celebrations.
The family behind Wing On Wo & Co—Gary, Lorraine, Mei, and their staff—are such kind and welcoming people that being there truly feels like being at home. I picked up a necklace, charming chopstick rests, and beautiful postcards—this shop is the perfect place to find thoughtful souvenirs! My favourite piece from here however, is the purple fish vase that I love to keep my dried roses in :)

“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”

“This bookstore found me. And every since then it’s been calling me back. I walked in and was met with the smell of the alphabet and maps from every country in the world. I was allowed to peruse the first floor without being pressured and that felt good because walking in can be intimidating.Everyone there was helpful and I was directed to the second floor by means of a turn of the century elevator. Maps on this floor were organized smartly and you must ask for assistance before taking them off the shelf.I would encourage you to check out their website so you have an idea of what you are looking for before arriving. They also have volumes online that may not be in store at the current time but they have access to from their warehouse.”

“I stopped by this shop today and was warmly greeted by an older gentleman named Larry, who seemed to be enjoying the sunshine with a cigar in hand outside. He kindly approached me and asked how he could help. I explained that I needed to rewire a vintage lamp, and without hesitation, he brought me to the back of the shop and got right to work. Within just a couple of minutes, he figured out the issue. it turned out to be a simple fix and even took a moment to teach me about two-way light sockets.
He had a kind, no-nonsense demeanor that I’d describe as serious and friendly. His presence reminded me of classic Italian warmth, which I found comforting. Because the repair was so quick and straightforward, he wouldn’t even accept any payment, despite my offer. He insisted it was no trouble at all.
It was such a touching reminder that there are still genuinely kind people out there. I’m truly grateful for his generosity and would absolutely recommend this place to others.”
