βThis has been my go to location to buy meat a couple of years now. I highly recommend everyone to go here. Luis is awesome he is always so helpful and his team also.β
βComing to this place was exciting, a distant breeze of home. The owner (who immigrated from Calabria in the 60s) was very kind, giving us time for a chat and letting us try their excellent products complete with an espresso at the end. I would recommend everyone to pay a visit if you are in the area, Italian or not. Thank you so much for your time!β
βThere are a few butcher shops on authur ave but for me this is my favorite. This place will literally do whatever you want them to do to a cut of meat. They also carry things like duck, lamb, rabbit, quail, and a few other more exotic meats if you're into that kind of stuff. Great place and make sure you ask for Jimmy he is a true professional!β
βI only started to use them about 2+ yrs ago, after my other Butcher, who my family used from when I kid, acted like an idiot during Covid. So a friend recommended me to Richie's!The place is Clean, lots of items on display, and always fresh! Every guy I ever dealt with has been extremely nice and pleasant. When you walk in, there is always a greeting with a smile! Arturo is doing a fantastic job!β
βMy neighborhood butcher. Great steaks, cold cuts, fresh bread, eggs. They've got what you need. The homemade sausage is delicious. Try the chicken and broccoli rabe.β
βMy Newest favorite place! I tried this spot based on the reviews, and I must admit the people didn't fib!! Purchased "Short Ribs" and they were tender and meaty! They're fast friendly-will give you you cooking tips and shave off unwanted fat!! Now this is my only meat market!!! We're family now?β
βI live in the Bedford Pk area but have recently began making trips here once or twice a month. In my area, I typically have to go to 3-4 supermarkets because one has better this, the other has better that, etc. Fresh food is sparce. Also, I can never find fresh wheat bagels and they have them here regularly. Customer service was great when I emailed them to inquire about delivery days for the bagels. As foolish of a question as it may have seemed, they responded quickly and very politely. The bagels drew me in but the other very fresh, large selection of food and great customer service has made my bus trip there well worth it.β

βMy most favorite place to buy a variety of meats and other Caribbean products. The staff are pleasant, courteous and respectful. Service is fast but not rushed or impersonal. You can also have your meats cut to your specification at no extra charge, which is a plus.β

βTo my surprise since it's under new management, more clean environment, depending on your needs I was in and out in 5 minutes, but would definitely consider going backβ

βGreat place to get packages for bbqs they season the meats and give you variety. Only reason they got 4 stars is because they dnt offer too many steak cut options.(ny strip, rib eye, etc...)β
βi bought sum steaks from here and was very happy with the shipping and quality of the meat me and my family enjoyed it very much! They took three days shipping it but i was supprised on the third day at about 11:30 am to recive them with the ice gel packs still completly frozen over the steaks srry they are not in the pictures did not think to also show them but im happy with the money i spent and recomend to anyone with the money to spend you will not be disapointed well if your as luck as i was anyway! oh yea this is 6 steaks in the cooler hard to tell but what you see is just the top threeβ

βOver the past year my go to place for Irish meats - bangers, rashers and puddings. From talking to the staff they are made on site so very fresh. Makes a trip to the old stomping ground worthwile!Small shop. Old time charm. Staff is friendly.I've got buddies telling me to try others but I'm not inclined to with the quality and service I'm getting here.β
βFriendly staff, and fresh meat. They also sell essential cooking items such as oil, spices and etc. I wish the prices were slightly cheaper, but overall I will be back. Great Service.β

βExcellent customer service, a lot of respect and cordiality. Nothing compared to Fine Fare, who brought the women all dressed up as mamita and Chula as if they were their entourage. Pioneer is highly respected by both men and women. That's why I recommend it 100000%%%%%%.β
βThe supermarket was clean and had all the grocery items that I was looking for at moderate prices. Meat and eggs were a bit expensive though. My groceries were delivered to my door quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an overall pleasurable and quick experience.β
βThe Arthur Avenue Retail Market is one of several public food halls across the city, including Essex Market (LES), Jamaica Farmers Market (Queens), La Marqueta (Harlem), and the Moore Street Market (Brooklyn). The Arthur Avenue market opened in 1940 to serve the predominantly Italian neighborhood and still does to this day. There are several vendors, including butchers, fresh produce sellers, dry goods, and at least one restaurant and sandwich joint.I was running errands in the area and needed a sandwich, so I ordered a mortadella and broccoli raab sandwich from Mike's in the back on the right. They also offer many pre-made sandwiches if you are in a rush, but I like to order off the menu. The butchers look great and have an assortment of specialties, including offal and fresh rabbits. I can't wait to see what they offer around Easter time. There are a few tables near the bar in the back and as part of the restaurant, but it's hard to say if you are welcome to sit there to eat a sandwich. Regardless, it's a great spot to check out if you are walking along and want to pop into NYC, equivalent to a European food hall.β
