“The selection was pretty vast on a Saturday morning. The store was packed with locals and tourists. I couldn't see the price list for the goods and that tempered down my ambitions.
Nevertheless, I bought a pork knuckle. It was delicious!”
“Ottomanelli is iconic! This family-owned butcher shop has been in the Village for 70 years, originally from Italy. I love chatting with the three brothers — their service is amazing, and the meat is always top quality. Truly inspiring and a staple in the neighborhood!

“Park East Kosher is amazing for all of your kosher needs. The meat is top quality, and Liron and Michael will personally help you get the items that you need for Shabbat, holidays, and daily needs - they make you feel like family! They have groceries and other items imported from Israel as well. Their prices are reasonable too.”
“The best meat Market there is. I’ve been working with these guys for years! Evelyn and her sister are awesome; they’re always kind and very helpful. Top notch service and quality!”

“We were here twice in April 25 (OK, late review, but better late than never). Once for a hot dog and once for a steak. Both times: delicious food, super friendly staff. What more could you want? Thank you, and when we're back in New York, we'll be back :)”
“Although a bit pricey I stopped by with a friend who needed the best possible beef for a Japanese dinner.
The service and level of knowledge demonstrated by the employees was outstanding.
In the end, the Wagyu steak was tasty and loved by everyone at the dinner.”

“I live in the UpperWestside of Manhattan & this Deli has always been my favorite! Excellent customer service & always efficient. Keep you the great work??”
“Cash only! Fantastic butcher. This shop has been here since I was a kid. They are very friendly and helpful. Experts who know their product. I highly recommend this shop.”
“I’ve been visiting this butcher shop for about three years now, and they have never let me down regarding the meat; everything always looks very fresh. The place is clean and quite spacious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is fast—no matter how long the line looks, they have plenty of staff on hand (and often, even the owners are there). For me, it is 100% recommended.”
“I was recommended this butcher and couldn’t be happier. The service was fantastic, welcoming, and very knowledgeable, and the meat quality was truly outstanding. Coming from Europe, where high-quality food is essential, I can honestly say this place exceeds expectations. I received excellent advice for my Christmas meals, and the meat was simply exceptional. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this butcher.”
“absolutely fantastic l can not recommend these guys enough . fantastic selection of meats , I'm very impressed with The selection of game meat , sauces , rubs , and the wagu beef if magnificent .”
“Sausages! Sausages! Sausages! Best Chinese sausages! Pork, duck liver, and chicken sausages galore! In this cute, no frills sausage shop, my brother and I were greeted right away in Cantonese which we sadly don't understand- we're the wurst! Thankfully, they had an English chart behind us. We split an order of 5 lbs of slightly sweet Cantonese cured pork sausage (lap cheong) between us and I plowed through my half within 2 meals- it's that good! It's freezable, so I'm already plotting my next order, especially the duck liver. A real wiener! ;)
NOTES/TIPS:
**Steam for 20 minutes or lay it atop freshly cooked rice and cover. Slice to serve. Microwaving is fatal and dries it out- a sausage sin!
**For extra zing, pair it with cane or white vinegar. It adds contrast to the richness. You can also put it in fried rice or noodle dishes.
**Will add pix next time.”

“I stopped in the day before Easter Sunday to see if they had any lamb left, and they didn’t ofc because no one did lol, but the gentleman behind the counter was so helpful and he gave me a cut of beef that was essentially the same thing, and saved my dinner. It was absolutely delicious. Really great price. I highly recommend this place!”
“I love the chicken here! It’s fresh, amazing quality and has a beautiful yellow color. They cut it into smaller pieces for you as well!
For Thanksgiving I was able to book a turkey but in advance ($5 a lb) I had to put a $40 deposit down and picked up a few days before Thanksgiving. The turkey was delicious, juicy, and fresh! Definitely recommend this! It beats any of the frozen turkeys!”
“Excellent butcher shop! They prepared chicken, pork chops, flank, sirloin and skirt steak for me, all perfectly seasoned and ready to grill. If you order ahead, they’ll have everything prepped and ready for pickup. Great service and quality meats. Highly recommend for your next BBQ!”

“Sonny's is a friendly and neighborly place. I came in while driving into NYC, coming out of the Lincoln Tunnel and heading toward Central Park West. Stopped in, they were great. Highly recommend.”
“Old school butcher shop. I always order off the menu. the “white cloud” pig trotter is delicious. They get it from the walk in fridge. The chef slices the meat nice and thin. Mom always order the mince meat pie and rice.”
“Loved the attention! Meats are fresh. Products are consistently replenished. Customer service is poppin, the people who work here are very hospitable and welcoming. Prices are awesome- super reasonable considering inflation. Even the cashier was sweet and informative!”
“The meats hear are fresh, however, I give it four stars because it says on google that they close at 7pm. When I arrived on a regular business day at 5pm the gates were already down.”
“Fantastic place, super user-friendly, excellent delivery. So lucky to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Called to order a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving, and they could not have been nicer!”
“Amazing quiet place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a freshly done sandwich, at the best dinner style - or just the absolute perfect Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie with a nice cup of coffee! The staff was so kind and attentive that made me forgot it was 3PM in a busy Wednesday! This is the perfect stop for your visit to 5th avenue shops or to the Rockefeller rink - and they got even a kids Menu and plenty of space to big families as well!”
“Best (and freshest) guanciale I’ve ever had in NYC. My kids loved the sweet sausages as well—impossibly tender, so good. Will be back to try steaks, which looked fantastic. Great service, butcher gave me a recipe for beef stew when I asked
.”
“Oh bens meat market, where do I even begin...
I had the utmost privilege of dining at bens meat market today. While I was walking down the street, crying bc my stupid ex boyfriend just dumped me for my mom, I smell of fresh hotdogs and home waffled into my nose. I could feel the sauces and spices tingling between my nose hairs. As I drifted into the restuarant, I was welcomed with the most heartwarming staff ive ever known. They were ok with the fact that my hair was a rats nest, they still served me. The place was pristine, nothing like the reviews are saying. I could practically devious lick the floor! If not for the delicious meat, I might've! The spices and pan fried meat soothed my tongue like nothing else. They are incredible, I had an epiphany today!
I will be returning!”
“Amazing! Best meats, super nice butchers. All the steaks are terrific, pork chops, lamb and fantastic rotisserie chickens. (And then there are the obsession-worthy sandwiches.) love this place!”
“I truly enjoy this library. It has multiple floors with a spiraling staircase flair. If I remember correctly it use to be a sort of detention for women facility and judicial arena. I tend to stay on the main floor, children's library section with my 4yr old granddaughter. They have scheduled activities and always available paper to draw and color. Staff is super friendly and helpful.”
“Where local chefs buy their meat. Dry-ages steaks in house and will cut any thickness you want. Makes killer merguez sausage every Thursday (get there by 10am). Gives free bones for stock and cooking advice that'll change how you cook forever.”
“beautiful experience, very very good man. You going in the store they treat you like a human being. They go out of their way to make you feel like you are a very important person in their store. Whenever they can do they will do it for you. Anything to do with meat they know.”
“a little italy staple and filled with so much history! been coming here since i was young for my meats and cheeses. they have the freshest products around the area and is a must try even if you’re just visiting. the line can be long but once its your turn, you get taken care of by the best people. i’m always trying and learning something new when i come in here. i always get their prosciutto di parma and once you try fresh, its hard to go back to store bought. they’re also great with providing big pieces for you to sample, so you never leave with an empty stomach.”
