Per Scholas has been dedicated to promoting equity and creating opportunities across America for nearly 30 years. The organization offers rigorous training programs in technology intended to unlock potential for individuals, communities, and employers. Partnering with a range of employer partners, from Fortune 500 companies to startups, Per Scholas aims to build diverse and sustainable talent pipelines, contributing to the transformation of the tech industry. Many students have found value in the programs, praising the comprehensive curriculum, knowledgeable instructors, and hands-on experience. Graduates often credit Per Scholas with helping them land roles such as Software QA Analysts and Business Analysts, sometimes through contracts offered shortly after graduation. The organization provides free education, including tech tools, books, and vouchers for certification exams, supporting students through the learning process. Some reviewers highlight the supportive staff, well-organized environment, and the opportunity to build friendships that last beyond the program. However, there are mixed reviews. Some students note that recent cohorts have limited hands-on experience due to curriculum changes aimed at accepting more students. Others feel that professional development and opportunities with employer partners are lacking, and that students are expected to be proactive and self-reliant. Despite these criticisms, many alumni emphasize that success depends on individual effort and taking full advantage of the resources provided. Overall, Per Scholas is recognized as a free, supportive training organization that offers valuable skills and connections for those committed to advancing their careers in tech.
Definitely a no joke learning center. I'm taking the cybersecurity analyst course for certification, and they teach you the TLDR about everything that can prepare you for successful certification. 5 stars.
