“I have been a customer at Manor Auto Service every time I drive up through New York City on my way back to Connecticut, and it is always a bright spot in my travels. The service is outstanding, the staff are friendly and attentive, the gas prices are reasonable, and the location is convenient. They also have an impeccable selection of snacks, which is always appreciated on a long drive.
Ciernan, in particular, is always a bright spot whenever I stop by. On one occasion, when my tires were deflated while getting gas, he immediately came out to help without hesitation. He always goes above and beyond, and I highly recommend having Ciernan help you out. He has a way of making your day a little better every time.
I truly wish every gas station could model the community and customer-oriented spirit that Manor Auto Service embodies. It is the kind of place that makes traveling through the area something to look forward to.”

“Brought my car in for my bi yearly inspection. I dropped it off around 10:30 in the morning on a Friday. The technician called me within an hour. And told me, I needed a new tires as well. And gavevme three different options for tires with different price points .He took the time to explain the difference between each type of tire. I chose what I wanted and then about an hour and a half i was called to come pick up my car. Excellence service. The survicee technician was nothing but polite and helpful. Will definitely use again.”

I've been coming here since 1994. Back then I was buying bubble gum and Marino's Italian Ices from Pat. This is also where I got my very first Silly Putty. Over the years, Donahue's has been more than just a convenience store, it's been the heart of Silver Lake and a place that's woven into so many of my memories. So much so that the street corner is officially named after it!
Now I bring my own child here, which makes every visit even more special. The familiar aroma of cigars and coffee, the neon lights, and the nostalgic atmosphere will forever be engraved in my soul. It's one of those places that instantly takes you back while still feeling just as welcoming today.
These days I stop in for their excellent beer selection, cigars for a friend's birthday or to celebrate a new baby, pastries, and all the random goodies that have made this place such a neighborhood staple. And I love that they have a Slush Puppy machine, it brings back that same excitement I had as a kid.
While I'll always miss seeing Pat behind the counter, it's been wonderful watching the new father and son team carry on the tradition with the same neighborhood spirit and friendly service.
I've recommended Donahue's countless times in person and even left reviews on Yelp and other platforms, so I was shocked to realize I'd never left a Google review. I'm happy to finally fix that. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. Places like Donahue's are becoming rare, and Silver Lake is lucky to have them.”

“After trying most Delis around Central Harlem, this is BY FAR the best Deli in the area. Chopped cheese is amazing. and I sincerely recommend the gyro, although all sandwiches are incredible. Worth mentioning every sandwich comes with 1 free soda. Staff here is great as well.”

“This owner who runs & works this little motorcycle shop does an amazing job repairing bikes. His prices are very reasonable for whatever work needs done, clutch replacement, gear shift repair, carb cleaning, tune ups, fork seals, and much more. I was surprised no one ever mentioned him to me over the years i've been riding, or heard anything about him through the grapevine of best repair shops. He's that person you must keep in your contacts if you're a rider. I do know from others that riders who use him and his small shop like to keep it secret because there are times he is overwhelmed with work. Speaking with him he tells me he will retire soon. I'm hoping he sticks around much longer cause I can't find low rates like his anywhere around nyc.”

“Excellent selection of snacks and the pb smoothies was cold and delicious. It was a little watery in texture, it didn’t have a “smoothie” consistency but the flavor was ALL there. Maybe a bit too much ice? I would still get it again bc it tastes great. This is def my go to store now bc the store that’s closer to the Pelham train station terminal sold me expired candy the other day and they burned my sandwich.

“There are a ‘pair’ of stations on each side of the road. Lowest gas prices in area. During periods of busy traffic it can be difficult to cross over to the traffic lane on the opposite side of the road, so best to use the station on your direction of travel. Still, it’s good value if you need to wait a few minutes. With pricing at 40 to 50 cents per gallon less than many stations in the area you can save $5.00 per 10 gallons of fuel. Be patient!”

“My car had a problem and was smoking and I pulled in here. *Luis* (I hope I am spelling your name properly) came out almost immediately and was super sweet and offered me to come inside in the AC to wait and mentioned if I needed anything, a phone, bathroom, etc I was more than welcome.He was really understanding even though I was blocking a pump (luckily it was out of order for part of the time I was there, as it was being repaired!) But even after that, he said I could stay parked in the shade until the tow arrived (because I had temperature sensitive cargo).Thank you for your comfort in my time of need!The bathroom was very clean!And the two employees at the front counter were really sweet as well!Thank you!”
“This place has better deli sandwiches than the Italian deli across the street - they’re made faster, less expensive, and include far more meat. They use boars head and fresh bread. I live around the corner and have always walked in with my sandwich made even calling only 5 minutes ahead. The breakfast sandwiches are passable but nothing to write home about.
