“I had the most excellent experience! Ralph took such care and time with 2 papyrus pieces I had brought back from Egypt for framing. I am so happy I chose them at the end of my extensive search! Some in my search were the more generic synthetic framing operations, and some were the more expensive ones, but none had the character and beautiful unique artistic selection that KC has! “It’s a nice store has a lot of options for crafts supplies. Definitely worth checking out. Staff is very helpful and they know their way around so they can quickly find things for you. I also recommend calling them before going to ask if they have what you’re looking for just to save you a trip. But if you’re just browsing and not sure what you want, definitely check it out.”
“I have been consistently impressed by the quality of Barronarts' custom panels, which I've been ordering regularly since early 2020. After fifteen years of painting on a number of different supports, the Sintra (PVC) surface is a revelation: it's archival, rigid, smooth, durable, and lightweight. Did I mention affordable? I recently ordered some custom poplar floater frames to fit around my medium sized paintings and was very satisfied with the results. The Barronarts team even sent me some free frame finish samples to keep in my studio to refer to and show to clients. Jeffrey Barron is always highly attentive to my needs and extremely responsive over phone and email, a true professional (and solid human being). “I've tried almost every tube and they're all good. But some have more pigmentation than any paint I've ever owned and I've tried most brands. Also, several have a unique texture that you won't find in other brands.”
“If your looking for a great local art store, Apple art is perfect! However if your a pratt student looking for cheap supplies you should be a little more cautious. Prices vary wildly in comparison to Blick art supplies. Holbien Gouache, for example, is much cheaper at Apple art, but Apple art often will more expensive basics like charcoal pencils. Overall I try to shop more at Apple art because supporting local businesses is a good thing, and often the price difference isn't enough to justify one over the other.”

“Super cool place, there is so much stuff there, 2 more floors of stuff below ground level. Not an artist myself but if i was, seems like i would have everything i need. Theres even high quality balsa if you need to build bridge for science olympiad. Super nice employees ready to help if you need anything aswell. Great place!”
