About Center for Brooklyn History

The Center for Brooklyn History is a museum offering a terrific behind-the-scenes look at the history of Broadway. It covers both musicals and straight plays with amazing history, fun photo ops, and great costumes and props from favorite shows. Visitors can enjoy an engaging experience for a few hours. The staff is very friendly, proactive, and exemplary in their attention to detail and energy. They are very knowledgeable, give great directions, and are helpful. The museum provides free little lockers for coats and bags. It is located close to Times Square and has an affordable price point, making it a must-see for Broadway fans and a great way to stay warm. While there is a lot of interesting reading, some visitors noted a lack of material for specific musicals like The Great Comet of 1812, though a stage model is present. Overall, it is a wonderful experience and highly recommended.
