“My family and I have been going to this church since I was a little kid. I got baptized, joined the front door ministry, and gave my heart to the lord and also got married here. I have been to a lot of other churches but I always want to be here. The people are so friendly and Bishop Nelson is a great leader. I love him and his family and I never feel like this church is to big that you couldn’t interact with all the leaders, staff and church attendees. I always feel like his sermons are right on the money. Great for adults, and kids as they have a wonderful children's ministry. I feel like they have something for everyone. This is my home and even though I don’t live so close anymore. I always make the drive to attend.”
“I am so grateful for this Salvation Army location, the resources are greatly needed by this community, especially during these hard times will continue to support them whenever I can. Thank you”
“I grew up with Major Fran in after school program while I was in elementary school, she was amazing and so caring changed my whole life around. I wish I can hear back from her or say thanks to her! This place is amazing!”
“I’m not Protestant but my aunt is. Been there a handful of times and Pastor Alfred is very inviting and friendly to visitors and members. But the members can be very rude, they have rules that they follow such as no pants, skirts only. No earrings. I’ve asked Pastor Alfred and he just wants you to be comfortable. Services tend to be long so make sure you eat before coming here.”
“it's been a bit of a bummer since registration's started, but you can be sure they'll have room for both you and the Lord ? all we can hope for is a day where we can return to maskless praise, amen ??”
“I've been here couple of times with my friend. At first I was kind of shy, but the people here are so wholesome. There is programs for everyone, they range on your age. Everyone struggles to make friends or establish good relationships with new people. Here is very different though, everyone is cool, and even the staff are great here. There is no sanitation issues in this place, everything is tidy and beautiful... this place is very calming and relaxing. This place is AMAZING! Apart from all of that, there is church and it is very good and the community is healthy and fun. They have a variety of things such as Guitar lessons, and there is a basketball court to play in, there are drums... so many things.”
“It is a historical piece of architecture. It is the oldest roman catholic church in greenpoint built on the highest point in the neighborhoodThis landmark church is the best example of gothic architecture in Greenpoint and its stainless glass windows are priceless. What a site to see!!!”
“This is not just a synagogue, it’s a community. You will always feel warm and welcome. PSJC is a judgement free zone, where you are free to be Jewish to whatever extent or in whatever domains you want to. Everyone should give it a try for an event, a Shabbat service, zoom havdallah, a Hebrew School lesson… you will love it.”
“The facade is indeed beautiful, but what you encounter when you enter the church is a warm welcoming atmosphere, you get a service that leaves you refreshed and the choir, my goodness? they never disappoint. Their pastor is a very gentle and humble young man, loved by all who get to know him. May God bless them all.”
