I don't even know where to begin with this place. I first went around 2013-2014ish before Adam took over. I remember seeing him the first time and was like, who is this person in the shop today? Long story short, he took over and has since framed countless pieces for me. Lots of concert posters, commissioned art, art I picked up in other countries, you name it. If it were to be framed, Adam was doing it. I've spent a shit load of money in here to say the least. But every penny has been worth it. From the patience, professionalism, and attention to detail, down to the friendship we have built. If you have art or something that is worthy of a frame that you care deeply about, trust me it's worth spending an extra $100-$200 on something that is going to be cared for as if it was his own. I'm telling you, the attention to detail at GP Frames is unmatched. Who knows, maybe Michael's will suffice your needs. That's fine. But if you're looking for elevated results this is your place.

My experience was only the lead-up to getting services done, not actual services… so giving 5 stars. But am a little annoyed at my time wasted. Called to get an estimate this morning on matting for two pre-bought frames. Was given a rough estimate of $40. Got a second quote elsewhere, also $40. So I decide to go with GF, they’re nearest to me. I carry my frames over, 15 minute walk. Super lovely staff. But at the end I’m told the quote is $100! A 150% increase from the estimate given. The gentleman offered $80 as a solution, but I’m not comfortable paying double what someone at their shop estimated that very same day. Will try my luck at the other framer, but my lesson with GF is maybe bringing your project in person rather than discussing over the phone would be the best route taken.

Good quality frames but communication can be better and one should expect delays. I ended up waiting 7 weeks for the frames that I was told will take 4 weeks (accounting for their busy season) and had to follow up multiple times for a status update past the timeline they provided since there was no update or explanation on their end.

We recently had 4 different pieces framed at Greenpoint Frames. The eye to detail, customer service and craftspersonship were spectacular. Great to support neighborhood small businesses as well.

Love this place. Have had 5 or 6 pieces done there already. Each one is super clean and professional. The staff is chill and really helpful in picking out frames that match the art/ vibe of your house. Worth going here over using a website imo.

Honestly the best framing place I've been to in NYC. Everyone is so nice, helpful, and true creative professionals. I must've had about ten paintings framed there, and have been thrilled with all of them. Cannot recommend more highly!

My Husband and I had a custom Ketubah made for our wedding. This is the first item that we’ve had framed at Greenpoint Frames and it looks gorgeous! We received wonderful help in the store when describing our vision. Everyone in there is so nice and so helpful. We’d absolutely return back for future frame jobs!
