Hours: Powerhouse Arts is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creative expression, housed in a large, purpose-built facility in Brooklyn. The space, which was once a historic building adopted by renowned architects Herzog and De Meuron, offers a vast workshop and artistic environment that is welcoming and suitable for everyone, including the disability community. It features tall ceilings, accessible bathrooms on each floor, and good-sized elevators, making it easy to navigate with canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. The center hosts a network of art and fabrication professionals and educators working together to support artists and their communities. Currently, ceramics and print studios are in operation, with more facilities opening soon.
