“My favorite vintage store in the city. Joshua is absolutely The Man. He negotiates prices, never forgets a face, knows the story of every piece of clothing in the shop. Has interesting events. Half the time I end up hanging out talking with people. And I always leave with something excellent”
“I ordered a few PRL pieces from this shop. It was a first time for me. Everything came ahead of schedule actually and it was exactly what I ordered. But what impressed me fully is I made a mistake in the size of a shirt I ordered. It was supposed to be Medium but I mistakenly hit Small. Well however it happened I was texted and asked to confirm the size...and I had a chance to correct my mistake. That impressed me because other larger places would've just sent a Small and been done with it. Kudos ✊???”
“Such a joyful experience, in stark contrast to the usual experience of trying on pants, especially vintage denim. Ended up with my holy grail denim and comfortable stan rays, which had evaded me until now.”
“Every single item in this shop has so much character!!! From curated second hand items to imported hand made home goods and accessories, I didn’t want to leave! The perfume oils swept me off my feet in particular! I will be back again!!”
“This sweet shop is providing an amazing service to parents, kiddos and the earth! I feel so much better about selling and purchasing gently used clothes than I do buying new stuff and thus, contributing to world’s consumption and waste. The selection is nicely curated and the staff is warm and helpful. So grateful to have Owl Tree in our neighborhood!”
“Great place to study and work. Awesome coffee and barista too. It emanates a neighborhood vibe, people coming in and chatting. Great way to spend a morning if you have some work to do or want to relax in a coffee shop!”
“Everything you want a shopping experience to be. This space is magical & the owner is a rare treat.
I bought my new favorite little crop top and am so pleased at how reasonably priced it was.
???”
“Absolutely love this store! Been coming here since forever and I always score with the best stuff. Always packed with super cool stuff with anything u can think of! Forever my favorite store”
“Didn’t buy anything but I’d 100% recommend this place if you wanna have a genuine talk about vintage fashion with the owner :) also the store had some beautiful pieces at reasonable prices”
“I went over to Brooklyn and wandered into this beautiful space while exploring the vintage scene in Brooklyn. We went all over.
Spent hours here trying on the most amazing pieces and was thrilled with the what i got. Such an incredible collective of dealers offering the best finds! The staff was super helpful and gave me honest feedback, which is so important when shopping alone. Cannot say enough good things about Seven Wonders. I like the one near Orchard Street in Manhattan as well.”
“Marche' rue Dix sits on Bedford Ave a couple of blocks from Franklin ave where it enjoys a more quiet and deliberating experience. On the corner is cafe rue dix a wonderful Senegalese restaurant owned by the same couple. This is more than a clothing store , there are jewelry imported from Senegal along with teas , spices, and locally made skincare products, hair and cosmetics. And a high art nail studio that uses non-toxic nail products. A treat from Senegal to right here in the borough of Brooklyn.”
“Loved the bricks and mortar shop! And love Shopping IndigoStyle Vintage at markets. Sheryl curates the most amazing selection of wearable vintage clothing and accessories in all sizes! Sheryl oozes style and teaches you how to wear clothing in unique ways to look amazing on your own figure. Shopping with IndigoStyle is like having your own personal stylist!”
“Stumbled upon this GEM of a place today! Recently moved from Florida and trying to build my capsule wardrobe. Margot was so attentive, knowledgeable and just a pleasure to meet! I will be a repeat customer for sure! If you are looking for vintage one of one pieces, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in! You will leave happier than you came.”
“I highly recommend ordering online from Awoke Vintage. I absolutely love the sunglasses I ordered from here! What stood out most to me is Awoke Vintage’s customer service. They are quick to respond and are a pleasure to speak with. Will definitely be ordering again!!”

“This is the best vintage shop in nyc, this shop is a real gem! I was in New York for a summer trip, I had many vintage stores to visit on my list but for sure this is the best with the best selection.”
“Fabulous store! Saori has been here 20 years! The store is small but the finds are everywhere! There was even a gorgeous milly peacock dress for $115. She had a sale rack out front and everything was $20! My lord. So awesome.”
“Such a great shop. I'm in RI but the owner has gone above and beyond to help me virtually so I could get the most perfect gifts (a few for myself). Awesome selection of unique stuff, hard to choose because there's so many cool things. Love that the owner features so many local talents, is so aware of sustainability, and chooses an organization to support every month. The best.”
“Great thrifting place; separated into categories and great prices !! You can get pretty nice things from 6USD :)
Don’t forget to bring your own bag, or buy one of theirs at the register for 2USD !”
“Great selection of men's leather jackets at good prices. Everything there looked very fashionable and the garments were all clean and well maintained. Even some items from big names like Hugo Boss etc.Unfortunately there were very few items in a size small for mens (I'm 5'7" with a pretty slim build and I have this problem at vintage/thrift stores a lot) so I couldn't get anything. I left wishing I were larger because full genuine suede and leather jackets for $100 bucks is a pretty good deal if you ask me....Minus one star because I wanted to buy a few jackets but the size distribution did not accommodate me ?”
“My sister and I visited to go to a concert and we decided to spend our next day walking around Brooklyn. We came across this shop and decided to walk in, the lady at the counter was extremely welcoming! All of the clothes are super cute, we ended up talking to her telling her we weren’t from around here and she gave us some destinations of where we could go. Lovely lady and a lovely little shop!”

“I've been here couple of times with my friend. At first I was kind of shy, but the people here are so wholesome. There is programs for everyone, they range on your age. Everyone struggles to make friends or establish good relationships with new people. Here is very different though, everyone is cool, and even the staff are great here. There is no sanitation issues in this place, everything is tidy and beautiful... this place is very calming and relaxing. This place is AMAZING! Apart from all of that, there is church and it is very good and the community is healthy and fun. They have a variety of things such as Guitar lessons, and there is a basketball court to play in, there are drums... so many things.”
“Thanks to the owner of m.a.e. Brooklyn I was outfitted in a beautiful dress that drew lots of compliments. What I really enjoyed most was hanging out and having a blast while shopping and supporting a business owned by a woman from NYC. A special and rare treat!”
“One of my favorite vintage furniture/tchotzkes/clothing spots in Greenpoint! I always look forward to my visits here because you can't NOT find something that you're drawn to.
They have great pieces and the vendors are the sweetest. There are multiple different clothing vendor racks, all so well-curated. Prices here aren't wild, they're reasonable. :)”
“My favvvvv fav fav vintage store in all of BK. From the classics (huge selection of Levi’s) to rare finds (a silk blouse I will have for the rest of my life), you cannot leave empty handed it’s literally impossible. <3 you Awoke”
“I love this place! Great clothes, vibes, and people. They have a selection of carefully selected vintage items that include clothes, jewelry, home decor, and more. If you’re on Tompkins it’s well worth the visit.”
“BEAUTIFUL TO BUY FROM and EXCELLENT TO SELL TO!The owners are always working in the store which is the real evidence to a great indie owned company. They love what they do! Very selective on what they take in making what they sell high quality. Pricing is below retail and they have $2-$6 bins with hidden gems. Found a lot of brand new high end - name brand- clothes for a friends baby shower. Excellent place to sell clothes, take credit and upgrade your childs wardrobe.”
“really cool flea market ! i found some good deals on vintage bags, got really cute everyday rings, and found some interesting artists. great way to kill time while also finding unique & vintage items. overall, the place had great energy from the variety of options to the music selection. will definitely be returning !”
“A great find in Brooklyn - this place is HUGE and has a ton of selection. Great vintage options in addition to standard thrift store finds. I could be lost in here for hours!”
“Went to Crowley’s for the second time today and can reiterate that this is the finest store for vintage menswear. They have some incredible pieces from a range of periods and styles. I purchased my favorite article of clothing I’ve ever owned here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even when it’s busy. Just the best. Looking forward to coming back.”
“I always find something special when I come here!! Truly lovely, curated selection of good quality clothes (really love the diverse sizing) and home ware. Staff is very kind and helpful.”
