“In its third location, surely a lot of love has been put into this spot. Great vibes and very welcoming staff. I could tell each and every article is there for a reason and carefully put into place. Stop by and take a look around! If you don’t end up taking a cool shirt from the racks, maybe an enamel pin or incense will catch your eye.”

“Screaming Mimi's is a NY icon! The place to come for curated vintage for the "it" girl and all the other creatures of the night! Such a well curated and fun place to be. So when Kitschy Flower announced a vintage doll live sale and holiday event at the shop, I knew I could not miss it. I gathered up some of my most fashionable to attend. We did the RSVP on line. Some last minute guest tagged along and also went to shopping. There was an array of treats and fun beverages. So lovely to see the Mickey (Mickey Boardman) and Baby Lynnie (Lynn Yaeger) did their Friday live show from the event and Cole (Kitschy Flower from Atlanta) popped in showing the doll highlights. Everyone working was insanely stylish and adorable. I could put them in my pocket. The doll fans were also dressed to impressed. I was so happy to feel the holiday energy and the creativity from the event. I knew I had to leave with a new little friend. I snagged an adorable kewpie baby. My friends found vintage clothing and jewelry that they had to take home. Everything was reasonable for what we got. Some items are more expensive since they are more rare. Highly recommend this destination spot for the NY residents but also for the tourist looking for the unique souvenir.”

“Love this place. Lots of super-cheap clothes. My advice on how to shop is to make three or four rounds just to make sure you didn't miss anything. Friendly staff, good vibes here. Also, I thought it worth adding that I've been to plenty of bigger, chain resale shops in NY and NJ like Unique, 2nd Ave Thrift, and this place is better. It's clean, rotates stock, and is far more pleasant.”

“Such an amazing collection! I mostly treated this store as a vintage apparel museum, because I know it’s not my price range. But I had fun and that’s important too. If you’re a vintage lover, it’s worth just checking out this place even if you can’t buy anything.

P.S. The outrage in the review section for the prices are really unnecessary. NYC doesn’t lack more affordable options. My next stop after this was L Train vintage and I scored a beautiful sweater plus a designer wool skirt for a total of $16. Try elsewhere, be patient, and dig for things. Pricy stores like this one would show you what’s valuable and what to look for when you’re out there thrifting. Stop coming for the people who spent time learning and curating the store.”

“Found some amazing vintage clothes at a reasonable price. The place can feel a little overwhelming and get extremely packed. But it can be an explorative experience with friends to find goodies. They do charge a credit card fee, so bring cash if you don't want to pay that. They also sell bags to carry your purchase for $2, so bring your own in case you bought a haul of goodies.”

“Had such an amazing experience consigning here. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. I couldn’t recommend this store enough, whether you are looking to consign or shop for some of the coolest designer items. (Also such an amazing vintage selection - Love this place!!)”

“Me and my fiancé visited today and saw a typewriter for only $50! As a writer my eyes lit up once I saw it! The employees were so sweet and even tested it for us! We are 20 year olds from a very sad part of queens so we only came to window shop but no one judged or followed us! I’m so happy with my visit :)!”

“I've been here a few times. Rarely find much that is my taste, but employees are incredibly nice. That being said, try Orchard Street Vintage Stores, new and deadstock, really good in store markdowns, Desert Vintage and Pilgrim are beautiful, Lara Koleiji is hit or miss but great prices.”
