Customer service is on a very low level. There is always no one at a pick up window. The lady that was working there, I don’t know her name, was so rude and unprofessional. If I had choice I would go to other post office.

Very good snacks and beverages. Mesmerizing lighting. Depending on the crowd energy they might stay open until 6pm or 7pm

Visited this USPS location recently and was met with unprofessional service. When I politely asked to borrow a pen, the employee—Ashanti—responded with, “Ite, but you better give it back.” Not exactly the level of courtesy you’d expect from a public-facing federal agency. Unfortunately, this kind of dismissive attitude seems to be tolerated, which reflects poorly on the overall service culture here.

I’ve lived in the 1 1209 ZIP Code for about three years and I have to say the post office on 8801 5th Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11209. Has the worst customer service ever. I have a home business that I have time sensitive materials that need to go out at certain times and they under no circumstance will take my packages at the window, but instead of forced me to go use a box that my packages will not be removed from until it’s full so the time sensitive materials are basically garbage at that point because the tellers at the window don’t wanna do their job. Why is this, this is not the first time this is happened to me or my husband. I am so frustrated with the people that work at this location. They need better training and I’m not gonna stop complaining. I’m gonna go as high as I can because the way I’ve been treated at this place is unacceptable.

I had an appointment Scheduled for 1:15 for passports, showed up at 1 assuming they’d be on schedule and I would make it back to work in time. There was 3 people in front of me, (2 families) 15 minutes per person, reality I already knew I would be cutting it by the skin of my teeth to make it back to work but I was okay with that cause I would make it back maybe 5 minutes late. By 1:15 I hadn’t moved and they actually took a woman from the other window for packages. At this point 3 people in front I knew if I didn’t say anything I wouldn’t be moving. I went to the window asked if they could speed this up, open another window for passports, we all had appointments and we were all waiting and they are taking their time with this women who pretty much skipped the line.
If people have appointments times scheduled they should be followed. There should be 2 passport staff members working allowing for people to actually be taken on their Schedule appointment time.
Someone shouldn’t not be allowed to schedule an 15 minute appointment time for 3 people with the online site if there are 3 people. That is not a 15 minute appointment time. When someone schedules for multiple people the appointment times should be adjust to the proper time slotted.
My appointment was missed and was over a half hour delayed because staff decided not to go based on appointments. I was unable to stay for my scheduled appointment time having to reschedule for another day because they had only made it to the First Lady in front.
I had to go back to work, If I would’ve waited it would’ve been 45 minutes maybe even longer cause the family in front had 4 people that need passports I would never had made it back to work in time or anywhere near my scheduled time.
ridiculous and unprofessional in all honesty.
After coming back to work multiple people then told me that this is the worst place to go to and they are never timely.

You may get a nice employee, but that is very rare so one star is the best I can do because the weight the attitude and the aura of the whole place is disgusting

It happened several times that the drop off room was locked. After self service with everything, people have to wait in line just to drop things off?? In that case, people are doing you a favor asking if you could please unlock the door so more people don’t have to wait in line just to drop off. That also save your time!
Then the lady still asked me to wait in line and gave me a lesson that I shouldn’t have asked since she can’t help two at the same time. But you haven’t helped anyone with a locked drop-off room door and a line to wait just to drop things off after self service. We were served by the machine, not you! You are the one who is wasting people’s time.

I have never been to a worse post office. The employees are rude. The passport service walk-in is extremely bad. I do not recommend that anyone choose this one for their passport, especially the lady with glasses.
