I recently bought a truck from ACV Auctions. I've had many poor experiences in the past, but I was looking for a good customer. We find a truck that is perfect. I put the reserve offer and ACV comes back saying they need another $250. I said done. They said we will check to make sure offer is good. They take a couple hours and then said congrats. It's now 5 hours later and they said after they checked earlier to make sure it was available the truck is double sold. 2nd time it's happened with them. Worst auction ever!!!

WARNING TO ALL DEALERSACV is refusing to assist with a title issue they should have fixed. The email I received states that if a vehicle is sold 90 days from the date of purchase they are no longer required to provide equitable title paperwork. Meaning after 90 days even if ACV gave you the incorrect title paperwork and you cant sell the car your out of luck. This will cause countless issues for dealers everywhere.

This auction offers horrible buyer protection. They will not arbitrate codes that they did not notify the buyer of in their condition report of the vehicles they sell. Customer service is horrible and will raise their voice over you while you are answering questions they asked. You can provide all the evidence they require and ignore all of it and say they cannot help even though everything was completed before the arbitration period expired. I would not recommend ACV for any dealer who would like to be protected on a green light purchase.

ACV is a great inventory source. I no longer travel out of state to purchase vehicles because of the accuracy of the descriptions given on the vehicles. If a issue does arise the arbitration department has the quickest response time and the best adjustment - repair quote on the market. This is the best way I have found to purchase vehicles for our dealership.

Arbitration team is there to deny any and every claim, even though it is their inspectors who make the mistakes and not listing major issues with vehicles, and that is where the Arbitration team starts denying issues due to cost which is supposed to be more than $500, however they use pennys on the dollars prices for parts from websites that dealerships has no time or power to order from. and deny them for not enough money per policy, and for every claim they will find an excuse to deny.On top of all that when you disagree with them their answer is this is the policy and nothing we can do.And when you ask for a manager to speak with, conveniently there are never available and they will not return your phone call or requests. This is not the first time I had to deal with them, and they always find a way to screw you.Be aware, their inspectors don't do the job right and we pay for it.What a rip off.

My experience with ACV arbitration was nothing short of a nightmare. Shortly after purchasing a vehicle, my car caught fire less than two miles from the seller's location. When I reached out to ACV arbitration for assistance, I received no help or support whatsoever. The lack of response from my account manager was equally frustrating. It's incredibly disheartening when a company fails to provide any form of assistance or even basic communication in such a critical situation. I would strongly caution anyone against relying on ACV arbitration for any kind of support or resolution.

The key to this platform is your account manager. Without a good one, your experience won’t be the same. I got lucky with David Spencer as mine. He’s super easy to work with and have a down to earth, honest discussion about a car transaction and all the surrounding factors. Would highly recommend ACV, especially if you can get someone like David as your account manager.

This auction appears to be getting worse and worse as time progresses. I've been waiting on a title for 100 days and the auction is giving me the run around. I have spoken to several so called title department managers and they could care less about the issue. I'm just over the mileage cap for an unwind. However even after I offer to pay the price difference in the mileage, not to mention I spent 1800 to get it front line ready and I'm not asking for the money back. They still refuse to provide a title and I'm sitting on a 16,000 paper weight I'm not legally allowed to sell. This is ridicules, but the kicker is the auction does not return any of my messages and I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Use to be good auction to purchase cars from. But lately I got 3 times screwed with their CR and received green light cars with heavy structural damages. Their Arbitration is trying to get rid of you with automatic standard emails.Their CR is almost a fraud. So be very very careful purchasing cars from this Auction….it’s not anymore what it use to be

One of our favorite things about ACV was the low buying fees. Despite the influx of sellers and funds going through the platform there was a recent buyers fee increase that made us sad to feel ACV will quickly become very expensive in Fees like the other larger Auction houses we came to ACV to get away from. Keep ACV Cheap and keep buyers happy!! Otherwise we expect inflation in other areas that benefit us as well. $250 credits towards buyers fees will no longer be helpful and will easily need to be doubled. Arbitration will need to offer more money towards vehicles. the list goes on.

Rating: ⭐️I am utterly disappointed with the arbitration process I recently went through with ACV Auto Auction. Despite presenting clear and undeniable evidence of safety and mechanical issues with my car, the outcome was nothing short of a travesty.First and foremost, my car had a significant safety issue with engine oil burning and excessive blue smoke emitting from the exhaust. This was not only a major concern for the vehicle's functionality but also a potential hazard on the road. To my disbelief, ACV Auto Auction brushed aside this critical safety concern, refusing to acknowledge it as a valid reason for arbitration. It is alarming that they prioritize their own interests over the safety of their customers. Moreover, my car exhibited concerning mechanical problems, such as a persistent clicking noise during acceleration. This noise indicated an underlying issue that could lead to more severe damage if left unaddressed. Despite my efforts to provide documentation and expert opinions on this matter, the arbitrators seemed uninterested in considering these problems seriously.Adding insult to injury, I had two cracked spokes on the front wheels of my car. This not only affected the car's aesthetics but also raised questions about its structural integrity and roadworthiness. It's mind-boggling how ACV Auto Auction could overlook such glaring defects that could compromise the vehicle's performance and safety.Throughout this entire process, I felt unheard and disregarded by ACV Auto Auction's arbitration team. It's as if they were more interested in preserving their profits than in upholding their responsibilities to customers who trust them to provide quality vehicles. The fact that they could dismiss these blatant issues as if they were inconsequential is both frustrating and disheartening. In conclusion, my experience with ACV Auto Auction's arbitration was a complete failure. They refused to acknowledge significant safety and mechanical problems with my car, demonstrating a lack of concern for their customers' safety and satisfaction. I would strongly caution anyone against engaging with ACV Auto Auction, as their arbitration process is clearly biased and unsatisfactory. This entire ordeal has left me questioning the integrity of their services and their commitment to their customers.close to 7K repair cost

I am incredibly grateful for (Zachary Pinkney) and the outstanding support he provided during a challenging arbitration for both me and my business. His unwavering dedication, insightful advice, and willingness to go above and beyond truly made a significant impact. Not only did he offer invaluable assistance, but his genuine care and enthusiasm for the success of my business were truly inspiring. I can't thank Zach enough for his kindness, expertise, and friendship throughout this journey. He is a true gem, and his selflessness is a testament to the incredible person he is. ACV auctions should be proud to have someone like Zach.

1-They hold my car for five days .. they do not send me the pick up slip ..it’s their policy?2-their policy has 10 days standards guarantee but you can lose them between transportation and hold.. auction ID- 77659603- their policy you only have a few days to pay for the car. It’s ok - but when you try to get your money back from them takes a month . Vin - 1115464- and their policy you have seven days to pick up your car... but if their cars in your lotCan take a month to be picked up.And many more.—— When they were small , they was cool…And when they grow up, they messed up …?
