I will never use budget again. The staff at the desk were uncooperative, unwilling to assist resolve reservation issues, the service was incredibly slow, agent refused to help correct reservation, told me to call customer service, I did, they “fixed” the reservation but booked the wrong drop off city. The staff at the desk were more concerned about socializing and walking away from the desk than processing the line. Every single customer that came to the desk had an issue. We were at the airport for 2 hours trying to rent the car. They told me I had to call reservations to correct it. While on the road they informed me it would be $479 fee to update the reservation and a one way fee of $200. Spoke to 4 different people and got 4 different amounts to resolve the issue. Ultimately had to CANCEL and return the car to the airport. The car we received handed poorly and was slipping on exit ramps. The person who gave us the car in the garage was high. She couldn’t use the key fob properly nor the open the trunk. Her eyes were glassed over and spoke extremely slowly. The entire service and experience was the worst I could have ever received. I will never use Budget again. I appalled by the service I received.

Picked up car at airport and entire car smelled like pot. There’s no way u couldn’t not smell it. Was in a hurry for funeral so had just to take car. Who ever cleaned just didn’t care. My clothes smelled like pot. I had to stop and buy air fresher and fabreeze to get rid of it. Called and took 45 minutes on hold to explain situation so i wouldn’t be charged with extra cleaning fee.

Worst rental experience of my entire life. Rude, aggressive and abusive staff (especially the two managers at the Buffalo International Airport Office). After signing the contract and paying $900 for a 4 day rental of a full size sedan, the office tried to assign me a vehicle with a clear front collision accident. Upon refusal, they assigned me what I can only classify as a car that should not be allowed to drive on the road. Fully consumed brake pads, like metal on metal status, Vibrating violently on the road and a glove compartment that pops open and hits the passenger on the knees when braking. Upon returning to the office and requesting an exchange, I was told that that managers advised that I should not be served and I should take the car or close the contract and buzz off. I was charged around 183$ for being assigned a hazard of a vehicle and for following the instructions of the customer support agent. Entire contract lasted 2 hours running between Budget offices in Buffalo trying to fix the problem. Was left without a vehicle, 183$ short and 900$ held against my card. My Christmas trip and mood ruined. Unbelievable failure in corporate culture and support. I hope that Budget Rent a car read this and reach out to me as I am very upset with this treatment.

Per listed requirements, car was filled with full tank less than 0.1 miles from the return spot. With record of receipts from when gas was purchased, as soon as a car was scanned as returned it was marked as needing gas, despite no employees confirming the gas level on the tank. $100 charge added with no confirmation of necessity, and now will take 5 days to be refunded. Ridiculous, and does not follow procedure. Employees and business should review tank before adding unnecessary charges.

Counter staff is good. Garage staff on drop off is lacking. I packed the car full of fuel 1 mile from airport before returning to the point you couldn't put a shot glass worth of fuel in and they charged me fuel service fee and concessions fees worth over $107 over my rental agreement so I will have to go out of my way to get this addressed!

I rented a 7 passenger SUV, I literal had just received a call stating my aunt had less than 24hrs to live, I booked the van through Expedia, the customer service rep was great assigned me a vehicle rather quickly.The vehicle seemed to have been in an accident the side panel had a gash in it and the front bumper was pushed in. I took the SUV as it was because I needed to get to Chicago before my aunt expired. While loading up we noticed a horrible smell in the leather seating it reeked I can’t even explain the smell.Very unsatisfied with the rental they gave me.

I only gave one star to give this review. I reserved an suv for pickup at the Buffalo airport. After standing in line for almost an hour the 2 girls working announced there were only 9 cars left and would not be honoring any reservations made after a certain time the day before. Luckily I was 4th in line and my reservation was made before their cut off. At that time they had people get tout of line that had fastbreak and get in another line so one of the girls could help that line and the other girl could help the other line. They took one person from the fastbreak that I was now 3rd in line and after that it was complete chaos. Since there were 2 lines people from the regular line were just walking up to the fastbreak line which now made me 5th in line. Why they made us get in two different lines at that time is beyond me. When I finally got to the front thru informed me they didn’t have any more suvs and I would be getting an f150. I told them that vehicle wouldn’t work for me since I would be driving my 85 year old mother around and they informed me I could exchange it at any budget rental the next day. Well no other budget rentals had any SUVs so I went back to the Buffalo airport. I got to the counter and explained I wanted to exchange my car and before I gave their porter the keys I wanted to make sure they had SUVs. The girl replied “we should” but then turned to the next girl and said she wants to return the f150 and get a different car. The other girl said she needed to talk to the manager. He was right there so she told him and he said ok exchange it. After she helped 3 other people I asked if she was going to exchange my car and she acted like she had no idea what was going on. Then she told me I need to go down and get my stuff out and the cone back. I again asked her to check if they had SUVs and she looked at the other girl and said that’s on you. So I went to the other girl and started explaining and another employee walked up and started talking and the girl I was talking to just cuts me off and starts talking. I was very frustrated at this point after having to drive an hour out of my way to get the car I reserved, waiting almost a half an hour while the girl helped other people instead of finishing up with me, being talked rude to by the first girl and cut off by the second that I said excuse me I’m talking. And she just said I need to go get my stuff out. So I went back down stairs I saw the manager told him what was going on and he called her. She was arguing with him and I heard her say she better behave when she comes back up here so he said he was just going to get me a car. So he brings me a car that just came out of the wash and was all wet he switched the keys and I went back up and got my paperwork fixed. The next morning I looked in the back seat and the car is filthy. There was trash in the cup holder, stains on the white seats and the floor was not clean in the front, back or trunk. It did not smell clean either. The windshield wipers didn’t wipe the windows clean so I had to drive with water smudges from it being wet when I got it and tried to clean it. There was also I huge dent which they didn’t mark on my paperwork. I went back and found the manager told him about the debt and he said it’s fine. We will see what they do for me when I have a chance to call them next week. I will only rent from budget again if they make this situation right.

Wait for an hour here or rent anywhere else. They need more staff in Buffalo. National, Hertz, Alamo were all clear. I am disabled and it was very difficult to endure that wait. Had I not prepaid, I would have gone elsewhere.

If I could give negative stars, I would. After 45 min in line while we watched the 4 reps mess around, play on their phones and chat with each other rather than moving all those waiting through the line, I asked the two why all 4 of them were waiting to use one cell phone to call down to have the cars pulled. She stated, "is just our system and if you don't like it, you can leave." So then I told her the system wasn't working. Look at this line. That's when she canceled our reservation and refused to rent to us. We spoke with the shift lead, but the manager was no where to be found. We couldn't help but notice the 30 plus people waiting down stairs as well for their cars to be pulled up. We ended up going with hertz and were so glad we did. Do not rent through budget at Buffalo Airport. I've never seen such incompetent, arrogant and untitled staff.

We flew into Buffalo, NY for the first time and walked over to the rental car area where I had reserved a Toyota pickup for our party of 4 with all of our large luggage and I used Costco Travel program as I always do. I approached the 60-75 person line. Waited for about 1.5 hours. Mind you this was 11:45 pm when I got in line. At 1am the second girl was "off" as she told the people that were ahead of me. There was one girl at the counter that was extremely sweet and efficient but informed me they no longer had that vehicle. She offered another vehicle to replace mine which Nissan Rogue for the same price but I said I had too much luggage. She wasn't sure if she had something and found a Chrysler Pacifica Van which was fine but when we got to the car it was EXTREMELY filthy and gross inside. There was pet hair all over the upper dash and all over the black carpet. Absolutely disgusting.

This was terrible experience. We were given an electric car and told there were charging stations, however, that was a lie, on top of that the car was given to us with only 1/4 battery. I called the main number and they said just go to the car pickup and exchange it. The garage told us that we had to go to the main counter. When we went to the counter, I was told I had to go to the back of the line. The wait in line is over an hour. Save yourself the trouble and don't rent from this location.

Our flight got in at 12:30AM and when we went to pickup our car, there were only 2 people working and a long line had formed. We waited for an hour and a half in that slow moving line just to be told there were no more cars left when we were almost at the front. I made the reservation 3 months before our trip and was getting email reminders throughout the week that we were good to go. I then called all types of customer service lines and kept getting the same response that we couldn’t be helped and had to talk to the front desk at the rental we had our reservations at. Luckily our hotel was next to the airport so we were able to Uber there. The next morning, no one would answer the phone and we were supposed to be leaving for Toronto from Buffalo in mere hours. I had to walk 30 minutes to the Budget and finally received a car. However, I got only 3 hours of sleep and it definitely put a damper on our trip that was to celebrate my girlfriends graduation from PA school. It also put us in danger as I was the only one old enough to drive and had to drink lots of coffee to keep my eyes open. I will not reserve with Budget again because I can’t rely on them to keep their word as they seem to greedily overbook and not give any compensation to those they effect. This is blatant malpractice. It’s not right and if we weren’t so close to the airport, we would have spent so much more money and time that we didn’t have.

Budget staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting the coverage that I needed for my vehicle. However, there was a long wait time to pick up the rental car. During vacation season, a lot of people are picking up rental cars and there is limited availability. I would definitely say that make your reservation at least 24 hours before the pickup date to guarantee that you will get a vehicle.
