Burning Books is a radical bookstore focusing on radical thoughts and books. It is an amazing bookstore with a phenomenal selection, offering books on important and progressive topics. The store has a great atmosphere and feels as though it is leftover from the 60s and 70s. It provides a great selection of material you wouldn't normally stumble upon, including fungal books, birding and nature books, posters, journals, flags, and cards. The store is laid out really well; it doesn’t feel overly cramped or chaotic, even though it isn't all that big. It is the type of place where you go in looking for one book and come out with two or three others you didn't know you needed. The booksellers are very kind, friendly, and helpful. The location in a neighborhood that is a little rough means plenty of places to park. It is a place that needs to exist, challenging you to grow and learn with alternate ideas.

I'm amazed by how many fungal books they had (what I went in for, wasn't expecting much at all). I bought a great lichen field guide and the book seller was very kind and helpful. I helped him identify a bird that was trapped in the store earlier that day! Hope the little guy is ok.

This place has the best books with the greatest staff. Any book worth reading, they have or will get for you.
