Staff opens and closes store at their leisure. Never open at 8 am and some they close at 8pm, depending their mood. They shut down the self checkout for no reason. Never enough people at the register. Also one of the young kids that works there asked to check my bag before I left the store, claims it's store policy (I'm in my 40's).

I go to DG almost daily. And after getting all of my items together I made my way to the checkout line. There was an older woman in front of me and only one register open. As this older woman is going quite slow the other employee (a woman) opened the other register and started taking everyone that was after me. Gotta love the horrible customer service.
The man that actually cashed me out was very kind and has great customer service.

Great prices. The self checkout has been broken for months. Nice employees, but many definitely seem overworked. I'd say it's just very understaffed, and it often looks like there's only one employee in the entire store. Not sure I've seen a manager there once.

Bought some food items. Two out of three had no expiration dates. The third was over 6 months expired.

Can barely tell who works when inside this store. I mean, Stuff is done, so some1 is. God forbid ya need a cashier though.

This store employees are a joke nobody ever at the front of the store you literally have to search and yell to get help and even then they may not answer the "manager" damar Is rude tells you use self check out (dosnt take cash)looks at his phone like we should be lucky to get him to check us out lol assuming thats why hes a grown man working at a dollar general never again

The dollar general location on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore is by far the worst I’ve been in the associates are ignorant. There’s never anything on the shelves it’s all around horrible and filthy dirty.

12/4/22 around 12:30pm. This is for the area manager, but whoever the manager is at this location should be fired and sent back to training. Went to check out to see the store clerk struggling. Registers were not cooperating. The line got long (18- 20 customers), the clerk let us know it was his first day on the job, the manager left him and there was no one else on the store. He tried calling the manager but it went straight to voicemail. To the manager, who leaves an employee on their own on day one!!! Shouldn’t they be getting trained, shadowing, have back up. All I will say the clerk was kind, worked hard and was communicating to all the customers. Half the customers thanked him and just walked out. Management failed its associate and customers today.

I think that the store needs cleaning and remodeling. Really was not comfortable there because it just looked too dirty. Floors a mess etc.

New hours for store 9-5? What if some of your customers actually have a job? Plus, can you clean some of the trash from your parking lot and wash your windows? Just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean you should feel disgusting driving by….
