Hi....I am an Avid thrift shop junkie....and I frequent the William Street location as well as the Delaware Ave. , where I shopped on 2/01/24. I wanted to compliment 2 Goodwill employees...Caroline and I believe Natasha...both from the Delaware Ave. store for being sooo friendly and helpful while maintaining a professional attitude. I've just about given up with customer service in general....so it was refreshing to get not only one .....but two genuinely nice caring individuals to deal with! Sincerely, Julia

First, note that the address is now 2625 Delaware Ave - looks like they moved, but it's just the next block over. Would be nice if there were better signage at the old location redirecting people! The new building has a strong mold smell inside, so if you're sensitive to that or have allergies, be aware. Even with a good face mask on, my throat was sore when I left (I have severe allergies). This is a decent place for treasure-hunting, although I wouldn't choose to hang out and spend a whole afternoon, probably just keeping it on my list when I am seeking specific items. I found some nice picture frames that were much lower prices than what Amvets had; books have a decent selection but are all $2 (or 3 for $5) which is higher than I was hoping. There was some nice decor but priced higher than I think they should be. So, some good stuff, some good prices, some less-good prices. There were no cashiers at the desk and I had to wait a while for someone to notice me standing there - seems understaffed if the cashiers have to go do floor stuff too. Overall solid three stars right in the middle.

I don’t usually review places that much but I really wanted to make it aware how amazing the cashier was. She was so kind, and so sweet. I truly wish this world was made with more people like her: it would be a better world. Her name was Sophie I believe.

New policy on not selling untagged merchandise is dumb, workers are super petty. Not going back unless I hear they revoke the policy. I assume the current workers will be fired by the policy is revoked - saw them make a very nice woman cry.For other customers, I recommend the nearby Amvets and Savers locations. They have the same merchandise cheaper, and if rogue customers cut tags, they’ll still sell it.

Business is closed. Went all the way here just to find out there is no goodwill. Would have been nice to know before venturing

This is my favorite goodwill in Buffalo--always clean, organized, super friendly staff, and with a sizable array of items. The women's clothing section always has some gems and probably half my closet is filled with stuff from here. Book selection is also pretty good, as is the decor. I rarely go here without finding anything I want to buy, which I can't say of all the thrift/consignment stores in the area tbh.

Good assortment but place stunk horribly.

I have been shopping at this store for a long time as I live right in the neighborhood and don't drive. The staff has always been friendly, but on a recent trip, I was treated very rudely by the tall, slender individual behind the counter. When asked about my senior citizen status, I joked about being on social security and Medicare and was rudely told that a simple yes or no will do. I felt that the comment was totally uncalled for, and it left me feeling very uncomfortable. I guess employees don't like to engage in friendly bantering with customers anymore.

I don't care who wants to be "different" but please don't be a public display with your private life?♀️.

Used to love going here and getting deals on shoes and clothes. Now shoes went from $6 to $15 and anything with a brand on it is $10-15 ridiculous. I saw a stained up Nike sweatshirt with holes for $15. Bring the prices back down and I’ll come back. You get donations for free and are raising the prices by $5. So much I wanted to buy but not since the prices have become insane.

Something about the pricing is out of whack for home goods in the store. Why would I pay the same prices for used things as Target?

Used to be organized and now it’s a free for all. Clothes are a mess, all over the place. Employees constantly ruin clothes because they don’t know how to properly punch a clothing tag through. Pricing can be ridiculous on certain items.
