Scam alert... do not rent a car with this people. Staffs are well trained liers to scam money from people. They sent me a text late friday about not being able to extend my uber rental with hertz because the car is up for sale by hertz. When I brought back the car on Saturday this racist white guy didn't want to keep the car saying they don't process Uber car on weekends and I need to bring back the car Monday and I will not be charged since it's not my fault that the car is listed to be sold by hertz. Monday morning when I returned the car the same guy charged me $195 saying I need to pay because I had the car for three days. How quickly he switched his words saying I didn't wanted to return the car saturday but I wanted to exchange it and now I have to pay. Filed a corporate complain and got my money back but the amount of stress and argument I had to go through was unacceptable. Save yourself the time and money and find a different location where there is legit people working and not some racist white dude trying to scam your money for his own good. Don't go there...

We rented a car while on a trip for our anniversary and the car was filthy they didn't wash it on the outside or clean the inside we had to throw trash away from the previous renter, we weren't offered a different option or anything. Your office people are mostly friendly the man thay helped us was very friendly there was a man just standing in the back staring. Also, why is it so hard to get ahold of anyone by phone literally takes over a half hour and usually is someone in a call office that doesn't know anything about the location.

Let me start by saying I would rent from them again, the prices were good compared to the airport just on the other side of the road and they were fast in helping customers. Here is the issue the Tesla I rented was not cleaned at all, there was mud marks all over the tires like someone drove it through a wet mud road and the outside was generally dirty, but hey Inside is what matter right, Well it was bad too and the stench coming from AC wents when I raised temperature above 70F was really bad and I only noticed this once I was far away from the location. I asked for another car if possible but they did not have any, it was a holiday weekend and keeping the temperature below 70F was fine for me. So it worked out in the end for me. I just hope I get a cleaner car next time.

Preordered vehicle 3 weeks ago (Gold Club member). Arrived to find one employee working desk, with a line of customers waiting. All other employees were walking around or on their phones. When employee reached for keys to vehicle I asked that it please be a non smokers vehicle. Three cars were offered. All three wreaked of smoke. He just laughed and said his nose must be broken. No compensation, no sincere apology for wasting our time! We were leaving for our trip and didn’t want to put miles on our suv. We had to cancel our order and take OUR suv, instead of a sedan with better gas mileage. THE ODOR WAS THAT BAD!! DO NOT USE HERTZ UNLESS YOU ARE A HEAVY SMOKER. LATE START RUINED OUR TRIP.

Super disappointed with the professionalism of the young man who assisted me and the follow up by hertz as a company. “I rented a car a few weeks back from this Buffalo location. When I arrived the person who assisted me was very cold and straight to the point. He took my information, had me sign paper work and gave me keys to my rental car and sent me on my way.After doing an inspection on my own I notice there was trash in the car and grease like smears on the exterior. I went back in to express my concerns and was met with “Our washer is broken.” He then came out cleared the trash and said he would take it to get vacuumed. Less than a min later he came returned and the car was in the same condition.I was so upset I went to the airport across the street and was given a cleaner car (their washer wasn’t broken) and decided just to focus on staring my vacation.Later when I returned the car another gentleman assisted me and the first thing he mentioned was my experience. I said the car it self was amazing and I guess he took that as my overall experience was also. He brought up the importance of good reviews which came off as very transactional. Since he wasn’t envolved with my initial experience I decided to keep it moving and reach out to hertz the next day via the survey “I was told was coming.” I left my feedback and a contact number and was told that some one would reach out in 72 hours. It’s been weeks later and I’m still waiting…”

I was sent to the location by Uber to rent a car. I received conformation text and email from Hertz. I called the day of before I went. When I arrived they told me there were no cars available. I was told this was Ubers fault despite receiving conformation from Hertz. The staff was polite and the manager did try to find me another option. I have no issues with them at all. They were 5 star. Overall experience is a 1

We needed a car for about 24 hours. Rented a car and took the ‘Manager’s Special’. We got a Nissan Sentra that smelled like cigarette smoke and had a Little Trees air freshener hanging on the mirror. Found two loose cigarettes in the passenger side door pocket. I expected something pretty sparse but you couldn’t even pick out the loose cigarettes?

Totally disappointed with the vehicle I got for reservation # K55749185A1. I work for Linde and vehicles are delivered to our location for rentals. I got this filthy car from this Buffalo Genesee HLE location with food stains and greasy fingerprints all over the dashboard. It looks like the previous renter had eaten a whole KFC meal while operating temperature controls, radio buttons and steering controls, leaving marks all over. The Hertz locations did not even have the courtesy to clean the car before delivering it to the Linde Tonawanda office.I tried calling the location but the phone number jumps to the Hertz call center. Then all you do is keep pressing numbers to be transferred to another option. No one answers the phone. I finally decided to press the number where you have had an accident and then someone answers. The lady who answered promised to have the manager of this location call me but now 24 hours later, no call.I have rented Hertz in 9 countries and am a Five Star Gold Plus member. This was by far the worst vehicle I have got.Shame on the manager and staff of this location.

They told me to call and confirm my Uber rental before coming down. I called a dozen times throughout the day but no one picked up the phone. Extremely disappointed in Hertz.

I would give this rating a 0 if I could. I booked an EV weeks in advance and was delayed in getting to that location due to travel issues. Instead, Hertz gave the car away because I wasn't there at 9am (I arrived at 11am). No call, no text, no contact. I am absolutely devastated and was going to rent this for a few weeks. I've never had this happen at any other Hertz I've rented from.The customer service on-site was also horrible with no alternates given other than "You should've been here on time" and "we have another one but it's short range." The staff just provided a customer service line to cancel and said because it was 11:30 they couldn't cancel for me (they close at 12 and gave me the impression they didn't want the hassle to stay).DO NOT RENT HERE! This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had renting a car.

Long line, only two agents but only one of them serves customer. The other agent just sits there starring at the computer screen and does nothing. Avoid this place
