Excellent variety of foods, including some that are almost impossible to find elsewhere. My wife has a wheat, dairy and soy allergy, and the store has some gluten free bread in stock that doesn't use soy protein. The staff is AMAZING!!!

I have been a member since the 80s. I love being able to support local farms and businesses as part of my ownership.

Always love the Co-op! I have been going consistently now that I live near one and between their prepared foods, their beer selection, and all of the organic produce and goods they offer, I couldn't be happier with my decision to be a member-owner. Their coffee is pretty good too!

Lexington Co-op has become increasingly disappointing over the years. From the lack of well sourced meats, poorer bulk selections (including spices), a push towards more and more plastic in their deli (they’re not even trying to use plant based plastics (as if their astronomical prices couldn’t absorb a small increase)), to more conventional foods (both packaged and fresh). They seem to be including fewer and fewer local farmers: I can’t, in good conscience, spend my money here. It’s a shame that the people who could (and should) be on the forefront of change are just a more expensive version of Dash’s.I’ve started shopping at the co-op in East Aurora; they’re expensive, but they’re what a co-op should be: a push against the conventional. Both Lexington stores are a tragic waste of opportunity.

Just the right size market to get your shopping done. Lots of organic produce and veg. Big bulk foods section including tea. Employees are super helpful and friendly. You do not have to be a member to shop here but if you join there are always extra specials.

I really like the Lexington Co-op! They have amazing healthy prepared food's that are absolutely delicious! and also a very friendly staff who are always willing to help in any way they can! They are also very involved in the local community and always raising money for local organizations that help out those in need within the community! The store itself is very clean and there's always a friendly atmosphere! They also have a wonderful salad bar that is always well stocked with delicious and healthy organic food! It's a wonderful place to have lunch!!

I frequently shop at both the Elmwood and Hertel stores. Both have an excellent selection of healthy bulk food and produce. I also find low sugar and salt cereals and crackers. The employees are always upbeat, helpful and friendly. It is a pleasure to shop at the Co-op!

I have always tried to shop at local, community owned businesses and cooperatives. I’ve been a member for several years and frequent Lexington co-op often. I would go so far as to say 75% of our household’s food budget gets spent here.——————————————————————I’m giving the co-op three stars for a couple of reasons; the primary one is their continued ramping up of hard-shell, one use plastic containers. It’s disheartening to see a store with a customer base willing to pay a bit more for cellulose (or other alternative) packaging persist in extraneous plastic use.My second issue is one that I’ve experienced at several co-ops (including the one I managed on the west coast: a not so subtle disdain for customers and members. Many staff members are helpful and friendly, but several are actively dismissive (especially of anything critical of the co-op itself like plastic bag usage before the bag-ban, or mention of single use plastics popping up more often in their deli cases).Cooperatives are often at the forefront of environmental and local issues, and, while supporting several local farms and businesses, on the whole, the Lexington markets seem to shirk from much of that responsibility.————————————————————————I’ll continue to spend most of my food budget here, because it’s better than Wegman’s or Dash’s, but will also continue to encourage them to gravitate towards more environmentally friendly options in the hopes that they can be a five star store in the future ?
