Do NOT use M&T Bank!!! My 97 year old WWII veteran father has been a loyal customer for decades. His bank card was recently stolen and the thief took $20K!!! No M&T claims that they won't replace the $ because every transaction was considered "authorized" due to the fact that it used his debit card. M&T did NOTHING to secure his account and never shut it down when the system saw unauthorized transactions! Now my 96 yr old dad on a fixed income is out $20K! If he didn't have another account, he'd be on the streets!!! These people are the worst!!! Never use M&T Bank!

Worst experience I've ever had at a bank. I went to this location with my spouse to open a new account (my old bank is out of state). We booked appointments and everything. After we waited for 30 minutes in line, we were told the employees we had scheduled appointments with weren't even there. They were rude to us, understaffed, and I walked out angry. I went to a different bank that same day and opened an account with them instead. I will never bank with these people. Unprofessional.

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t bank there. The first time I went in, I had a solid teller with excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the times I called by phone, both to the bank and to customer service were rough. The customer service experience is pretty bad. The online banking system is constantly under maintenance. I only got an account there because I found a promo online for direct deposit. Not worth the hassle. There are better banks.

Terrible customer service, there was an individual at the branch that was failing as a person. The 10 or so workers said nothing in dissent of this incompassionate person making a spectacle of themselves.

The customer service at this bank is outstanding. I previously had accounts with two big, international banks, so I didn’t know the difference until I came to M&T about 20 years ago. When you call or go into the branch, genuine human beings actually help you. And they’re friendly! I’ve had several types of accounts with this bank and a few times when I’ve had questions or needed advice, and they’ve never let me down.

Don't waste your time coming to this old fashion bank that can't conduct bank business on Saturdays. After waiting 10 minutes was told to come back during the week to conduct business. I asked if I can set up the process today and M&T completed the transaction Monday so I don't have to take off work but nope. SMH!

There ATM card does not work outside NY state!! Even after I advised them in advance of my travels, I was unable to use the card. Now I found out that every time I tried to use the card, I got charged $3 for an 'inquiry fee'. That just about sums up what kind of a rip-off bank this is!

This is the worst bank I have ever had the misfortune of doing business with. I have had the same debit card issue and each time I call someone gives me a different answer but always says “you have to step into a branch for assistance”. So why do you have a customer service number? We are in the middle of a pandemic! We can’t just step inside a branch when going to the grocery store is too much already! Getting a new bank TODAY and switching over. There are so many bank accounts that can be set up online and serviced the same way. M&T is horrible. Negative stars.

Do not use this bank if you want any sort of security in knowing your money is safe. I had $6k stolen from my account and M&T refuses to cover it as they agreed to under their terms and services.
