M&T Bank: you need to take better care of your customers when YOU mess up.I had five fraudulent $900 Amazon transactions against my checking account on Aug 29. You alerted me by text on the first two, so I immediately called when I woke up at 6 am and canceled my ATM card. You stopped a third charge, but then you let two more go through AFTER my card was canceled!? No text alerts. I found them myself two days later. And my account continues to be debited for $1800 while you "investigate" because you didn’t catch the fourth & fifth transactions on a canceled card or alert me. It’s now Sept 11 and I have zero news from you. Today your rep told me to wait for a letter! That’s not acceptable, I need my money to pay bills.It’s no wonder Moodys downgraded this bank on Aug 8 and cut your credit rating. ?I will never forget how you treated me.

Do NOT use M&T Bank!!! My 97 year old WWII veteran father has been a loyal customer for decades. His bank card was recently stolen and the thief took $20K!!! No M&T claims that they won't replace the $ because every transaction was considered "authorized" due to the fact that it used his debit card. M&T did NOTHING to secure his account and never shut it down when the system saw unauthorized transactions! Now my 96 yr old dad on a fixed income is out $20K! If he didn't have another account, he'd be on the streets!!! These people are the worst!!! Never use M&T Bank!

It is 9:06 I called them at 9:04am letting them know I’m outside in the cold waiting she stated they are opening the doors now. They are literally looking and not opening the doors they are suppose to open at 9am.

This bank just tried to migrate Peoples United Bank clients onto their platform. What a mess! They couldn't maintain my passwords or user id. They haven't even kept my social security number from being corrupted. It's been 4 days since they took over the system and I still have no visibility. I asked a customer representative to transfer funds between accounts and they couldn't do that because there is a new protocol. Who's in charge of training? Who's guiding this ship? This is a failure of leadership. This is how you lose customers

Nate Holleran is very unhelpful. My account closed and I tried to get my funds back. He had me check my old address for the check then email him if they didn't have it. He didn't answer my email- called him and he made me verify I sent it to the right address, then he finally saw it. He scheduled a call for the next day at 10 because he had to figure out what I needed to sign and hadn't done it in a long time. He did not call at that time, and ignored ALL my proceeding calls. I just need my own money back!! Ask for someone more competent and professional than Nate Holleran.

Customer Service can (CAN)-(is a small word all I'm going to say is everyone is different)Also NOTE - not ever call about a check not received, is a " CUSTOMER " (without customers , there is no bank , no bank = no job!)- Back to missing payments...., your system stinks... It takes close to a Month for a payment to be mailed received and processed apparently..But, I don't dare to send it that far in advance....But, I'm within 6 hours drive , of this Bank , that my Auto Loan. I guess maybe I should start blocking off 1 day per month to drive out and make.BUT SHOULD I REALLY NEED TO DO THAT AS A CUSTOMER???

Customer service is terrible. I spoke with a woman who said her name was Darlene and she was rude and refused to address my question. She kept saying no one at the bank would know what I was talking about meanwhile she did not even attempt to ask anyone else. She kept trying to push me back to customer service even when I told her I previously spoke to them and they told me to call my local branch and they would be able to handle it. Never using that branch again, and highly considering switching banks altogether.

Taylor asked too many unnecessary questions when I tried withdrawing some cash and ended up not giving me the minimum she had claimed that I can withdrawal. Did not like her customer service at this location as I've never had this issue at other locations.
