Not sure what's happening to that store but the prices have become insanely expensive. I just asked about a used plastic pot for plants that you can but brand new at Lowes for 6 bucks they said it was 7 bucks. I said to the cashier that's crazy and the lady behind the counter said what are you. Rude . Will notgo back or donate to them again because ofher

I really like going to the thrift store. I found a brand new pair of sneakers for $14, they still had the tissue paper inside them. The only thing I think they need to improve on is getting more of a selection for boys/ men's clothes. I can never find anything for my 15 yr old son. It's mostly women's clothing/ shoes/ furniture and knick nacks, pictures, shelf decorations, stuff like that.

What I found to be most notable about this place was their selection of used furniture. The selection is the most extensive of any of the thrift stores that I visited in the Buffalo and surrounding area.

My husband & I were traveling from Texas & we always check out the local thrift stores. I was shopping for a friend that needs size 26-28 womens jeans. I found3 pair of brand new jeans in size 26 for $10.00 to $14.00 each. Score! The employees were very helpful. Love this store!Janie from Texas.

I have not yet went and asked for help. I deal with anxiety and it's not easy. However I have heard the most heartwarming stories about this wonderful blessed organization that help the needy. God bless you abundantly and forever more. Love Eternally, Cynthia Lopez

TL;DR - A great thrift store to work into your sustainable shopping rotation, with great selection at great prices. Many thrifters will agree that the bigger chain thrift stores are getting a bit big for their britches in regards to pricing - Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers...all of them have started to price many items unreasonably, charging prices for pre-owned items that you would expect for brand new. Part of the appeal of thrifting has always been that if you're willing to do the work of picking through things, taking your valuable time and effort to find whatever amounts to a diamond in the rough for you, you get that item for a steal. I'm happy to say that the St Vincent's Discount Store still adheres to the old model of thinking - prices here are low enough to feel like you're getting your treasures for a deal. What's more, the shop in its current iteration is clean and well organized in comparison to many of the bigger secondhand brands. No creepy musty smell like you're confronted with half the time at Salvation Army. What will you find here - perhaps the better question is what won't you find here? Sizeable selection of clothing, that on average seems to be better quality than you might encounter at other thrift stores. I would especially go here if you're building your businesswear collection and are open to some vintage pieces. Other than that, lots and lots of homewares. If you're stocking a kitchen in your new apartment or home, come here and peruse the full sets of dishes and glassware available. Lots of cute knick knacks, decor items, vases, etc. A furniture room in the back with chairs, couches, dining sets, etc. Your standard selection of books and some toys for kids. All at very reasonable prices. I'll certainly come back on occasion to see what's rotated through!

WOW. I hadn't been in the store in a couple of years, though almost monthly we drop off donations at the shed in the back of the parking lot. But today we stayed to browse after our drop off. The thrift store has been completely remodeled, cleaned up, overhauled, sanitized, reorganized, revamped...and any other synonyms you can think of. But the prices... are the same! Making Vincent's Thrift Store the best bargain in Buffalo. Anything else I will say in photos. We found a some things we actually needed, a couple we wanted, and a few more to come back for another time. Currently, masks are required. Our cashiers were very friendly and courteous.

Not as good as it used to be after the reopening. They are not moving their stock as fast. I used to find nice items...rumored is staff is confiscating the good stuff now with the new management. Disappointing, oh well.
