This business is very honest and the owner does an awesome job with customer service. I have been going here for a while and can say these guys know what they are doing and do an awesome job . If you want a very honest and reasonably priced place look no farther, this is your garage. Give them a try you will not be disappointed. Last thing I just wanted to address that review with two one stars for the same incident and same person that’s shady, you have to be kidding me. People this is common sense which isn’t common anymore when you drop off your vehicle go inside and tell them your here they are not mind readers they are busy getting people cars to other people in a timely manner. They do not have time to go out looking for cars that have an appointment that don’t check in call them it takes a second or I believe they have a drop for keys. Take responsibility for your actions, not blame other people for pure incompetence.To try and hurt a business with bad reviews is ridiculous. I have been going to a former garage for over 30 years but now I go mostly here why because they are that good. They have over 2000 verified reviews on sure critic all 5 stars and other places like car fax 5 stars go in bring your car in it will be in great hands.

I’ve been bringing my car to Sweeney’s Garage for quite a while now, and they’ve been exceptional every single time! Recently, I stopped by because my car was making a strange noise after braking. Phil diagnosed and fixed the issue within 30 minutes — and it’s been running perfectly since.
That quick, friendly, and reliable service is exactly what I’ve come to expect from Sweeney’s. The team is always welcoming, and they get the job done fast and efficiently. I highly recommend taking your car here — 10/10!

I recently purchased a car from Phil after my previous car became road unroadworthy. I only asked him to look at the first cylinder that was misfiring but he went above and beyond and did a full inspection of my vehicle and identified that I had a cracked subframe. Thank fully he took the extra time to identify this issue as who knows what could have happened with how bumpy the roads can be in Buffalo.
He did not charge me for this consultation and offered me a very fair price on a replacement vehicle after I requested his help to find me one. He made sure that everything was in tip top shape before I purchased the vehicle as well as offering to pay for a few small fixes like the the hands free that needed to be properly connected to get full functionality of my aftermarket Apple play system.
All in all I would recommend Sweeney’s Garage to anyone that needs the services of a mechanic. It is the best service that I have experienced in Western New York.

I've come to Sweeney's Garage for all my car problems for quite some time, and they've been exceptional every time! I called a week in advance to schedule my inspection appointment. I could tell by the way the secretary initially took my appointment that she was distracted, but I thought nothing of it and figured they were busy. The day of the appointment rolls around. Im used to a decently long wait time because I'm a repeat customer and I know they're a busy place. 2 PM rolls around, and I'm getting a little nervous... 2:10... no check-in call, no texts, nothing. knowing they close at 3, im wondering now if there is a mix up. So I call...
The secretary tells me they had no idea my car was even there. They very clearly made a mistake which happens and I'm totally understanding of that. But instead of just simply admiting they dropped the ball, apologizing and moving on, the secretary starts lecturing me on how I have to come in physically to the store and tell them the car is there. I have been coming here for years and I've never once had to physically come in and notify them the car is there the day of. ESPECIALLY since people drop their cars off BEFORE BUSINESS HOURS. Dont know how they expext customers to come in to a closed business! Shouldn't it be the business's responsibility to remember appointments?
Completely unprofessional and a total lack of accountability on Sweeney's part. It's sad to see a reputable business start to slip.

Sweeney's is well known for its expert repair work and honest, friendly and personalized service. Importantly, Sweeney's management and mechanics treat women as knowledgeable and with respect. Sweeney's does not recommend unnecessary services as do some shops. Prices are very reasonable.

Reason for going: Cigarette lighter wasn’t working. This was very important to fix while traveling on the road and having to rely only on a portable battery charger. First attempt callingToyota dealership: $354 for diagnostic, $110 for labor, $55 for the part. “Can I apply diagnostic charge to the rest of the cost? Toyota: no. Sweeney‘s auto: “ Your fuses were in the wrong place. $46.” I also had an additional cigarette lighter that was pointed out and didn’t know I had. Sweeney’s Auto is an honest and very efficient garage and it’s been there since 1948. Justin was incredibly nice. A welcoming place. I booked an appointment. I was only there for about 40 minutes.
