My late mother has her IRA investment with Ameritrade. I am a beneficiary and have called around 10 times and have emailed my IRA beneficiary and her death certificate application and keep getting an email saying I need to submit everything again although I keep doing that and not getting anyone to help me and now they said they were purchased by Charles Swab and nothing is getting done. It is hard enough losing a mother but now Ameritrade wants to make excuses and not do anything to process my paperwork and give me my beneficiary payout.

They have made it assuring that it is business as usual these last two years. Any transactions I want to make are only a phone call away.

Set up an account, and started to buy some stocks. Unbeknownst to me the bank had not transferred the money. So TD Ameritrade "fronted" me the money. But this was not shown in the account. Then TD Ameritrade quickly liquidated the positions. Once the bank did transfer the money, TD Ameritrade covered their loses. Cost me $1500.BE CAREFUL: even though the account balance showed what you transferred in, IT MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE THERE. And you will get screwed if you buy any stocks, and then they lose any value, and are sold on you.
