Very cute little thrift shop in the church basement that's certainly worth adding into your thrift shop rotation. I'd recommend hitting it up at the same time you go for the St Vincent Discount Shop not too far away on Main St.

Very sweet little thrift shop housed in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church across from Kleinhans. Not a huge shop, but filled with quality items and certainly worth a stop. The place is filled mostly with vintage and antique homewares. It's clean and well organized, making browsing an easy and enjoyable experience. The best part - proceeds are put towards the WNY HIV/AIDS Client Services Program, so your thrifting is supporting an excellent local cause. At the time of my visit, a 50% off sale was going on for the entire shop - I inquired and was told they run these discounts occasionally just to clear stock and make room for new items. The shopkeeper anticipated that the sale would still be going on for quite awhile! TL;DR - very cute little thrift shop in the church basement thats certainly worth adding into your thrift shop rotation. I'd recommend hitting it up at the same time you go for the St Vincent Discount Shop not too far away on Main St.

Great little thrift that I didn't know was there until today. I feel like I've been missing out. Everything is beautifully organized, clean, and well maintained. Already planning my next trip there. ?

Very nice staff and they have half price sales often ? It's a nice little place to buy gifts, especially since it's a charity and the proceeds go towards helping those with AIDS. They usually have a nice selection of books and their books are very affordable, I've gotten quite a few interesting ones from there

It seems the Serendipity Shoppe must have relocated since the reviews of a few years ago. Serendipity is not in the Blackrock area. It is located within the First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Wadsworth and Pennsylvania. The entrance is on Wadsworth, but there is parking available via a driveway on Pennsylvania. Additionally, there is handicap access available. If needed, call from the parking lot and one of the volunteers will come to escort you to the code-required elevator. Okay. Now that we know where Serendipity can be found, what can we expect within? At least one serendipitous find. For instance, last Saturday my daughter, just prior to attending a graduation party, found a graduation card there, obviating the need to stop again to buy a card. That could not have been more serendipitous. Okay, okay. Imagine a thrift store and an antique store got married and had a baby. Serendipity? But, of course. You won't find clothing, as a rule. Not saying never, but Amvets and Buffalo City Mission have clothes. At Serendipity you will find collectibles of myriad types, books, jewelry, lamps, dinnerware, pottery, home décor, eclectic gifts. Perhaps a hat. Possibly a shawl. Books are nicely shelved and categorized. Every other thrift store I have been in could take a lesson. I had planned to return and take some interior photos before reviewing; seeing as the location seemed to be in question from past reviews, however, I decided to post now, make the location clear, and return at some later date with more photos. The address above is correct: One Symphony circle. Phone 716-248-0232. ALL proceeds benefit people living with HIV/AIDS. Donations are always welcome -- saleable items, as well as cash. The charity is The Aids Plus Fund of WNY, a 501c non-profit. On Facebook, look for Serendipity Thrift Shoppe. Several photos there, too. And they do accept credit and debit cards, as well as cash.

Super cute and awesome thrifting place with nice owner(s) that brought my new big trunk to my car AND helped me fit it in my backseat!! HIGHLY recommend visiting, especially now while everything is 50% off to make room for what people will be donating as the weather gets nicer!

This shop is great. The location is walkable and the selection of items is very interesting and reasonably priced. I got a beautiful MCM leather chair for a steal. The owners and staff are such great people. Highly recommend.
