“Wow...we have nothing but GREAT things to say about Avanti. If you're looking for a venue that includes food, bar, desserts, and decor all in one place, Avanti is a venue to highly consider. They're transparent about their pricing and although the initial price tag can seem startling, the price you pay is very comparable to other venues when all is said and done. Our coordinator, Raquel, was our rock throughout the entire planning process. The whole Avanti team was very responsive to our inquiries, and we didn't have to lift a finger the day of our wedding. Our guests have also not stopped raving about the food, drinks, and quality of service. It was the best venue we could've asked for!”

“Really nice boardwalk. Nice view down the canal. Looks like they have a lot of activity in the warmer months, lol forward to going back and checking it out.
Just spent the morning checking out ships, curling(kinda pricey but fun) and hangin out. Awesome time. Where else can you have this much fun in 20 degrees. It shows how a city Can revitalize an area!!”

“A beautifully renovated old church turned music hall by Ani DiFranco. I have seen everything from alternative country and rock to Americana, jam bands and jazz. The acoustics are excellent. They have a bar on the first floor near the stage and in the basement. I've seen some of my favorite bands there over the years and tickets are usually very reasonable. Parking is ample. Just wish the seats were more comfortable. A lovely place to see a show of any kind.”

“My family went here to attend a special award ceremony from the City of Buffalo Firefighters.

The convention center was very clean and the food was excellent.

My only wish is that the main entrance was cut off due to street or building construction. Made it hard to drop off and pickup family members who have limited mobility.

Otherwise we enjoyed our visit.”

“Had an awesome night with coworkers after a Bisons game downtown, -- just a short walk from the ballpark. Austin was a fantastic host who made us feel like we owned the place.

This spot is perfect for playing games, watching sports, and kicking back with drinks in a casual atmosphere. We played golf for hours, had drinks and even played our own music. The price is unbeatable for everything they offer.

Whether it’s a work happy hour, birthday, or just a random night out, book this place. You won’t regret it.”

“This Edwardian building has some fabulous architecture, and now houses the Ukrainian Cultural Center. We stopped in for some food (the proceeds going to the Ukrainian support the Ukrainian people during the war), and got to see the bar area with it's vaulted ceilings. The bar is staffed entirely by volunteers, and has a neat selection of Ukrainian beers. The food was also made by volunteers, and we needed a translator to order! Everything was great, and the people were all welcoming. While the area isn't the greatest, they do have a parking lot on the east side of the building which can get packed, but offers fenced off-street parking.”

“Celebration of Life Lunch – A Beautiful Tribute and Thoughtful Experience

The Celebration of Life lunch was a truly moving and well-orchestrated gathering. From the moment guests arrived, the beauty of the space set the tone. The venue was warm, elegant, and welcoming—with natural light, tasteful decor, and a peaceful atmosphere that created a perfect backdrop for honoring a cherished life.

The buffet lunch was exceptional. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, with a generous variety that accommodated all preferences and dietary needs. Everything—from the fresh salads to the comforting main dishes and thoughtful desserts—was clearly prepared with care.

The staff deserves special recognition. The workers were attentive, professional, and incredibly kind. They ensured that everything ran smoothly, refilling dishes promptly, keeping the space tidy, and checking in discreetly to make sure guests had everything they needed. Their presence made the event feel effortless and allowed everyone to focus on what mattered: remembering and celebrating a loved one.

The combination of a stunning space, excellent food, and outstanding service made this a truly meaningful and comforting experience. It was a beautiful way to say goodbye, surrounded by love, memories, and community.”

“Had to stand outside a very long time to enter the building to play bingo. But when we finally got in, we had a very fun time with the family. There’s a small snack bar. I think the pizza was from Mr Pizza, popcorn was very good just like the movies and they also had alcohol for over 21yrs and pop and water for everyone else.Parking was a little hard.”

“I was at Aloft Buffalo Downtown for Roswell's Cancerchella. The hotel was very accommodating, fun, and very comfortable. Their bowling alley was a lot of fun and the XYZBar had great drinks and was very comfortable to socialize in. It gets very busy Friday and Saturday nights with the rooftop bar judging by the line of people waiting for the elevator up. The staff did well to work around some of the rude and pushy customers. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for a nice visit in downtown Buffalo!Rooms: The rooms are fun, trendy, and in my opinion a little nicer than your average affordable hotel. My room was on the 12th floor and had a beautiful view of Buffalo and Lake Erie. The bathrooms and showers were nice and spacious. There wasn't really much for a dresser but instead a place to put your luggage with a couple of small drawers underneath. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet at night. There was also a small table and some seating in the room.Safety: I felt pretty safe at this hotel. You need card key access to get to the hotel floors via elevator. However when I left my room this morning someone had attempted to tamper with the card reader to my door, and the cover was off of it and laying on the ground. My door was deadbolt though so I didn't have to worry about someone breaking in. A few other doors had this happen to on our floor, so i just notified front staff when I checked out. There was ample security in the lobby and the bars, and I felt completely safe during my stay!Walkability: This hotel is very walkable where it's located in downtown buffalo. There are plenty of things to do within walking distance, including the theatre district.Food & drinks: The food catered for our Cancerchella event was fantastic! The drinks at any of the bars were delicious and typical pricing.”
