I feel like that could be a telltale sign something is shady if every time I bring my cars in for inspection they always find something. “I have been going to Jim Barnard Chevrolet for service on my vehicle for over 4 decades. The reason is because they are friendly, professional and, as a single woman with very little automotive knowledge, they have never made me feel like I’m being taken advantage of, just the opposite. They also do a full inspection twice a year when I get my oil changed and provide a handout of each area of the vehicle marking green, yellow, or red, indicating when a potential type of service may be needed in the future. Their prices may be somewhat higher than local service garages but I’ve never walked out of there dissatisfied with the service I receive. I recently had issues with my 2 front tires experiencing low psi, requiring me to stop at gas stations to fill the tires every couple of days in frigid temperatures. I thought I’d try going to Firestone, as it was just around the corner, whereas Barnard is 30 minutes, and assumed Firestone specialized in tires and issues with them. I went round and round with Firestone, having to take my car back 3 times, and ultimately ended up back at Barnard, where the problem was quickly resolved. Thank you Jim Barnard Chevrolet team for the many years of satisfied service!”

“Woke up at the Abbey, went to the car and was greeted by a 'low pressure, back left tire' alarm. 300 miles from home. One isn't supposed to swear on retreat, I guess, but I'm ex Navy :) checked reviews and distances and went here. WOW! Got an appointment early that afternoon, went in at the appropriate time, car was on the rack in 5 minutes and tire repaired and I was on the way back to the Abbey in 35 minutes. Fair price, immaculate facility, friendly and trustworthy people.”

I want to call out specifically Josh (Sales) but Id rather say consulting. He was a real delight to work with from start to finish. I understand he has not been here long but find it easy to understand why so many folks are migrating to him to help make their Chevy (or Jeep... etc..) new car purchase. It's a welcome change to feel at ease with immediate trust.. kinda like having a cousin help you through the process. “Excellent and knowledgeable techs that always work on my parents cars . I typically work on my own cars but I couldn’t diagnose an issue I had on my Audi. They were able to properly diagnose my issue & also sent me in the right direction as far as going to Audi directly for a warranty. Audi ended up not honoring said warranty (shocker?) . so I ended up fixing it myself. However I would’ve spent many hours trying to figure out what was going on had it not been for these guys ! Thank you again for the honest service and I without a doubt reccomend them for all your car needs.”

I will continue to visit quick lube locations for my general Lube/Oil/Filter service because not only are they less expensive, but they also give added value such as a quick vacuum of my vehicle and filling of my washer fluid. A little extra goes a very long way towards repeated patronage.”

“I started doing business with Nick in 2010 and have been doing business with him ever since. Nick is honest, reliable and trustworthy. I trust him with all our vehicles. The best Nick story I have is, we dropped off one of our vehicles for Nick to go through and change the oil. He did and gave me a report that the front brakes were at 60% and the rear brakes were below 40% and he would just replace the rear brakes and I said, sounds good. That same vehicle left his shop and went on a trip to NC where it had to go to a dealer for warranty repairs. While it was at the dealer, they called me, in NY, to tell me it needed all new brakes and one of the rear calipers was stuck because it was making a noise. I told the dealer just do the warranty work and I would look at it when it gets back to NY. When that vehicle came back we checked it over and found a small stone rubbing on the backing plate making a little noise. Bottom line, I trusted in Nick and his workmanship and I trusted that my family member would make it home safely from NC because Nick checked it over and he replaced the rear brakes and he said everything looked good, and it was. Thank you everyone at the Caledonia Garage. Keep up the good work.”
