“Can you believe that this flamingo is made out of bronze and painted? It looked like glass to me. Four artists had displayed their artwork at the Agora Gallery located at West 25th Street in the heart of the Chelsea art galleries. Entitled “A Chromatic Affair” the paintings and sculptures were exhibited in a spacious gallery. Joanna at the reception desk explained the show and artists to me. While I looked at the rest of the artworks, I kept gravitating towards the flamingos as their colors were in vibrant cerise and rose pinks.”
“I have had many antiquarian prints framed at Ideal Framing over the years. Ideal Framing has done a tremendous job in giving me framing advice and executing the framing itself. There work is always delivered in a timely manner. They are my first choice for framing!”
“I've been searching for places to explore glass, and I was excited to find a one day workshop at Urban Glass. I was drawn to the flameworking class because of the thoughtful expression of how the instructor, Saint, described the process of working with borosilicate glass in their class.
Truthfully, I was so blown away by it all. Urban Glass has a beautiful community based inclusivity spirit and artist centered focus. The studio was well organized and vast. The staff and technical support team are friendly and helpful.
Saint's class had a wonderful pacing to it for a 6 hour workshop. We got to know all of the participants and connect together in a fun way, had a few informative demos on equipment safety and glass techniques, and then got to creating! Han, another glass artist at Urban Glass assisted the class, and it was really great to be able to explore making marbles, small figurines on our own and also have Saint and Han jump in when we needed a bit of extra hands on help. I felt confident from the demos and my practice time to be able to rent space on my own after.
Our class has stayed in touch since, and I know several of us from the class have been back to the studio since to create. I'm excited to return to explore and learn more!”

“An amazing array of silverware from various countries and eras. Definitely worth a visit in person (as I did when I was recently in New York) or via their eBay store. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge after many years in the industry.”
“I came in this morning needing a way to hang my large print.John at Jack's Art Gallery was so kind. He took a look and installed some brackets immediately to the back of my print free of charge. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. I cannot recommend them enough!!”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Galleria on Third and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Their expertise really shone through as they guided me through the various options, ensuring I found the perfect frame.
The quality of the framing is outstanding; every detail was handled with care and precision. It’s clear that they take pride in their work. Additionally, the customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of framing!”
“Fahim is simply the best! I'm so happy he's still in the neighborhood after the building he was in sold last year. Just a few blocks up on 1st and 89th! Reasonable prices and great work! Thanks so much Fahim!”
“I think this gallery is one of my favorites in Chelsea. Every time I visit, it evokes a different feeling - whether it’s fascination, surprise, or even dislike. No matter what, I always leave with a reaction, and that’s what keeps me coming back.”
“I stumbled upon this cute place while exploring the city. I had never heard of a zine before but was in awe when I walked in. It’s easy to forget about time and get lost in all the zines and books. The staff is really kind and passionate about the arts. Savannah really took her time to show me what Zines are all about. I was really inspired by her. I can’t wait to come back in the fall when I’m in the city.”

“I went to see Broken Box Mime, and I was blown away. I have never seen such a fun show. The seats had extra leg room for when you had to lean over from the laughter.”
“This has become one of my favorite hidden boutiques in Brooklyn. I always want something I know I won’t see elsewhere. If you see it just buy it because it may not be available upon the next visit.”
“Darren is the absolute best. He's framed 4 artworks for me over the past couple years and they are immaculate. We worked together to find the best matting and frames for each one. He's patient, creative, thorough, and so kind. Wouldn't go anywhere else! Thank you Darren!!!”
“David and Richard run a great gallery! The work they show is of the highest quality and they are not afraid to take a chance on a potentially great emerging artist while showcasing more acclaimed artists. They are two of the hardest working people in the business who work tirelessly and ethically to get great work into the world and keep artists doing what they do best: creating.”
“Not the most expansive gallery space but they pack a lot of great stuff in there! If the exhibits are at all in your sphere of interest (IE, design and creation of objects) it is a great additional stop along with the NYHS or the MNH! Not for kids though, certainly!”

“I recently got a large & non-standard size painting framed here. I had doubts on the frame color and I was suggested a black w/ brushed gold trim. The painting was put on a new stretcher, and we discussed a bit how it would be done. The results were impressive, the painting now seems to pop a bit more and complements our living room quite well. I did notice that they the edge of the canvas that was left unpainted by the artist was painted black. For me, and for this was a super nice touch b/c it doesn't leave the white canvas exposed on the side.”
“Really cool store with a mix of local and designer brands. Ms. Field was there on my visit and she was kind enough to autograph’s my friend’s heels. The other staff member present was kind.”
“SUPER CUTE! The shopkeeper was lovely, the space is super well curated and decorate. Beautiful pieces, perfect for gifts! Super queer, fun, colourful and thoughtful ?”
“I've been visiting this gallery since my friend Kool Koor's exhibition, and each time I'm impressed by the intriguing selection of artists, spanning both past and present. The curations are exceptional, and it feels like a museum experience right in the heart of the Lower East Side. I highly recommend!”
“My wife took part a a vendor at the FAD market that takes place there on December. The space is really cool and has a great vibe to it, the building itself is charged with the old Brooklyn charm. If your are invited to an event there go it most likely will be worth your time.”
“With its nice, open space, Gagosian grants a more personal unified showing that's expertly curated. Works spanning a vast array of periods completed in attractive styles and techniques await visitors during their time here.
Upon entering, visitors should be prepared to forfeit their bags to security, which is without issue. No photography is permitted during certain events.”

“I am so glad I trusted Carnegie Hill with framing this massive vintage poster. It’s a very delicate piece of art that required a customized frame. Besides being very fairly priced, the owner of the store took the time to curate a selection of framing design options and helped me decide which suited my piece best, taking into account my furniture, sunlight, and personal taste. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. The turnaround time was super fast — I had my poster hanging in my apartment within 10 days of dropping it off. 10/10 recommend.”
“There are ALWAYS great exhibitions and activities going on at The Heath Gallery. Come and meet the Gallery curators Thomas and Saundra Heath who are usually always onsite.”
“Great experience at Right Angle Picture Framing. I had a two historic photos that needed high quality framing. The team there took incredible care and were able to guide me in the best matting, frame, and glass options. The photos were somewhat delicate, but the staff were did a great job to ensure that they went through the process perfectly. And the final product truly looks amazing. I highly recommend them!”
