“I came in this morning needing a way to hang my large print.John at Jack's Art Gallery was so kind. He took a look and installed some brackets immediately to the back of my print free of charge. WE ARE SO GRATEFUL. I cannot recommend them enough!!”
“An amazing array of silverware from various countries and eras. Definitely worth a visit in person (as I did when I was recently in New York) or via their eBay store. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge after many years in the industry.”
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Galleria on Third and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The staff was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. Their expertise really shone through as they guided me through the various options, ensuring I found the perfect frame.
The quality of the framing is outstanding; every detail was handled with care and precision. It’s clear that they take pride in their work. Additionally, the customer service was top-notch. I highly recommend them for anyone in need of framing!”
“Great work! I framed 2 pieces here and the person at the shop was so helpful with picking the frame and choosing the correct backing. Good framing really showcases the art and it’s important! Thanks!? I will be coming back here”
“I stumbled upon this cute place while exploring the city. I had never heard of a zine before but was in awe when I walked in. It’s easy to forget about time and get lost in all the zines and books. The staff is really kind and passionate about the arts. Savannah really took her time to show me what Zines are all about. I was really inspired by her. I can’t wait to come back in the fall when I’m in the city.”
“I think this gallery is one of my favorites in Chelsea. Every time I visit, it evokes a different feeling - whether it’s fascination, surprise, or even dislike. No matter what, I always leave with a reaction, and that’s what keeps me coming back.”
“David and Richard run a great gallery! The work they show is of the highest quality and they are not afraid to take a chance on a potentially great emerging artist while showcasing more acclaimed artists. They are two of the hardest working people in the business who work tirelessly and ethically to get great work into the world and keep artists doing what they do best: creating.”
“Loved loved loved the LeCrue exhibit!! Knowledgeable staff, and when the featured artist wandered in on a Tuesday afternoon and was happy to chat, well, there's a fine day of immersing one's self in art”
“I've been visiting this gallery since my friend Kool Koor's exhibition, and each time I'm impressed by the intriguing selection of artists, spanning both past and present. The curations are exceptional, and it feels like a museum experience right in the heart of the Lower East Side. I highly recommend!”
“Really cool store with a mix of local and designer brands. Ms. Field was there on my visit and she was kind enough to autograph’s my friend’s heels. The other staff member present was kind.”
“The level of service from the staff is 5 stars alone! Perfect place for private events! Easy to find. Spacious, intimate and the art is phenomenal and chic! I would definitely recommend it!”
“With its nice, open space, Gagosian grants a more personal unified showing that's expertly curated. Works spanning a vast array of periods completed in attractive styles and techniques await visitors during their time here.
Upon entering, visitors should be prepared to forfeit their bags to security, which is without issue. No photography is permitted during certain events.”
“Fahim is simply the best! I'm so happy he's still in the neighborhood after the building he was in sold last year. Just a few blocks up on 1st and 89th! Reasonable prices and great work! Thanks so much Fahim!”
“Rehs is an elite Gallery. Their knowledge and expertise are second to none and they are quite easily have the most dynamic selection of contemporary and classical paintings found anywhere. Great service to top it all off. Highly recommended.”

449 Malcolm X Blvd # A, New York“Such a cute little place for Jazz! Went here for a small gathering and had so much fun. Music was great, service was great, and of course the musicians were great. Definitely coming back, when I’m back in town ”

195 E 3rd St, New York“I went to see Broken Box Mime, and I was blown away. I have never seen such a fun show. The seats had extra leg room for when you had to lean over from the laughter.”
“And then there's Cattelan who arrives and literally pisses on everyone's heads with his work.
The exhibitions that take place in this highly renowned gallery are always valid and the space lends itself to great works.
There is also another location but this one lends itself to more immersive works.
Are we all artists? I don't know, but I like to think so.”
“Another gallery which on opening Thursdays lends itself to welcoming exhibitions, often photographic but not only. The space is intimate and they are very kind. They seem so kind and honest. When is the last time you did something for the first time?”
“I originally wandered into the Hannah Traore Gallery as it was hosting my favorite photographer, Quil Lemons', exhibition that was dubbed "Quiladelphia." I bet you didn't know Quil is the youngest person to photograph the the cover of Vanity Fair... your favorite photographer could NEVER.
Obviously Quiladelphia blew me away with the raw expression of vulnerability that only Lemons can curate from behind a camera... the way one individual can say so much with 0 spoken or written words will never cease to amaze me.
But what I didn't expect to move me was the space itself. Do you ever just walk into a space and feel a deep reverance? A sort of energy shift that just sends a lightning bolt of inspiration through you? The Japanese have nailed this feeling, but I rarely feel it here in the US.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist, Flea, describes his job as providing the perfect canvas for John Frusciante (the guitarist) to go absolutely nuts on his solos and kick a hole in the sky. The guitarist gets more love, but is nothing without a good bassist. This is exactly how I see the Gallery/Artist relationship. A good gallery is critical to the success of an artist.
Hannah Traore is laying the perfect canvas in here.

“I visited The Brant Foundation to view Basquiat x Warhol. In the past, when viewing Basquiat, I have stated Art is subjective. I was pleased to view Basquiat in a new light. I still think art is subjective when viewing anything by Basquiat, but I was happy to see something different. check out this exhibit if you are a fan of Warhol or Basquiat.”
“I am so glad I trusted Carnegie Hill with framing this massive vintage poster. It’s a very delicate piece of art that required a customized frame. Besides being very fairly priced, the owner of the store took the time to curate a selection of framing design options and helped me decide which suited my piece best, taking into account my furniture, sunlight, and personal taste. At no point did I feel rushed or pressured to make a decision. The turnaround time was super fast — I had my poster hanging in my apartment within 10 days of dropping it off. 10/10 recommend.”
“Maybe my favourite place I’ve ever just “popped into” in all of NYC ? What an incredibly diverse and prolific body of work by one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met (and so warm and positive and expressive). What a talent. I was captivated.”
“Most people venturing into Chelsea probably only know of this gallery's Chelsea outpost, but I remember the Tanya Bonakdar Gallery from its SoHo days when Andrea Rosen also had a gallery in the same area. The 21st Street location is bigger than the old space, but has the same vibe. The last Bonakdar Gallery exhibit I saw was an awesome Gillian Wearing show. The gallery has since expanded to Los Angeles and features an impressive roster of artists, including Olafur Eliasson, Tomas Saraceno and Ernesto Neto. Highly recommended!”
“Today was such a perfect day and I came across this beautiful Gem in the heart for the Lower east side , such a very vibrant place , huge space and three floors of amazing art work , the staff was pleasant and greeted me on each floor , the whole experience was very special and much needed I appreciated the crisp clean walls , floors were shiny I wanted to sit on the floor Indian style and just take it all in !!! I will definitely be back and spreading the word on the beautiful diamond ?”
“Great little gallery venue in the heart of the East VillageThe South Asian artist, Maria Qamar (Hatecopy) and her exhibition Bloody Phool drew me to this gallery for my first visit.Any exhibition here is surely worth the stop on a day or night out in the EV/LES, but be sure to check her work out until 5/28/23”
“I recently got a large & non-standard size painting framed here. I had doubts on the frame color and I was suggested a black w/ brushed gold trim. The painting was put on a new stretcher, and we discussed a bit how it would be done. The results were impressive, the painting now seems to pop a bit more and complements our living room quite well. I did notice that they the edge of the canvas that was left unpainted by the artist was painted black. For me, and for this was a super nice touch b/c it doesn't leave the white canvas exposed on the side.”
“I had no idea it was so small... expected at least an hour experience but was more like 10-15 minutes. That being said, it was really cool. Honestly my fault for not doing enough research. But just know it's like 3-4 small rooms only.”
“The Yancey Richardson Gallery has visually striking works of photography. Well-curated and thoughtfully designed gallery space that enhances the viewing experience. Engaging exhibitions.”
“Can you believe that this flamingo is made out of bronze and painted? It looked like glass to me. Four artists had displayed their artwork at the Agora Gallery located at West 25th Street in the heart of the Chelsea art galleries. Entitled “A Chromatic Affair” the paintings and sculptures were exhibited in a spacious gallery. Joanna at the reception desk explained the show and artists to me. While I looked at the rest of the artworks, I kept gravitating towards the flamingos as their colors were in vibrant cerise and rose pinks.”
